  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Angels' Matt Duffy: Riding pine Sunday

Duffy is not in Sunday's lineup against the Twins.

Duffy is hitting .267 with one home run and four RBI over his last 10 games. Michael Stefanic is starting at second base, pushing Luis Rengifo to third base.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Day-to-day with neck spasms

Urias is day-to-day with back/neck spasms, Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Manager Brandon Hyde said Sunday that Urias would miss a day or two, so it sounds like he should return either Monday or Tuesday in Boston. Rougned Odor is starting in his place Sunday.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Returns to lineup Sunday

Walls (groin) is starting at second base and hitting ninth Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Walls had been making appearances off the bench this weekend, but this is his first start since Thursday. He is hitting .171 with one home run and two steals in 18 games this month.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Riding pine Sunday

Urias is not in Sunday's lineup against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Urias is hitting .220 with zero home runs in 20 games this month. Rougned Odor will start at second base while Gunnar Henderson starts at third.

  • Ryan Kreidler 3B | MIN

Tigers' Ryan Kreidler: On bench Saturday

Kreidler isn't starting Saturday against the White Sox.

Kreidler is out of the lineup for the third time in the last four games after he went 2-for-4 with a strikeout Friday. Jeimer Candelario will start at the hot corner and bat seventh.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

    Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Return uncertain

LeMahieu (toe) remains unable to play, and it's not clear when or if he'll be able to return this season, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

There was some optimism earlier this week that LeMahieu could potentially return to action during this weekend's homestand versus Boston, but the veteran infielder still hasn't been able to swing at 100 percent during batting practice. He has indicated that he's feeling better but has also explained that he isn't able to play in his current state. Manager Aaron Boone hasn't ruled out the possibility of LeMahieu returning during next week's three-game series in Toronto, but that sounds like an unlikely scenario given LeMahieu's continuing inability to move past the injury. Boone acknowledged the uncertainty of LeMahieu's timeframe for a return, calling the injury a "great unkown" and saying, "It's been a really tricky injury to get our arms around. What treatments we can do, if and when you can do a shot, things like that. We'll see."

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Good to go

Urias (neck/shoulder) will bat fifth and play third base Saturday against Houston, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Urias was scratched Friday due to neck and shoulder spasms, but the issue evidently wasn't very serious. He'll look to climb out of his slump Saturday, as he has just four hits in his last 12 games.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Still not starting

Walls (groin) isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Blue Jays, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Walls was scratched from Friday's lineup due to right groin tightness, but he appeared off the bench and scored a run. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available off the bench Saturday.

  • Abraham Toro 1B | BOS

Mariners' Abraham Toro: Snaps slump with multi-hit effort

Toro went 2-for-4 with a double in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Toro had been mired in an 0-for-11 slump over his previous four games and hadn't generated a multi-hit effort since Aug. 31. The 25-year-old's .181/.234/.319 slash line is a profound disappointment, but some of Toro's complementary metrics belie those numbers to an extent -- he's been saddled with a dismal .192 BABIP, produced a modest 17.6 percent strikeout rate and laced 23 of his 55 hits for extra bases.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Steals bag in loss

Jung went 0-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 6-3 loss to Cleveland.

Jung stole a base after a sixth-inning walk and came home on a Josh Smith two-out single. It was his second steal in 14 games, the last one coming in his debut Sept. 9. Jung doesn't have a history of running in the minors, but the Rangers, who lead MLB with 124 swipes, encourage aggressiveness on the bases.
