Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA
Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Starting at second base
Peraza is starting at second base and batting sixth for the Yankees in Tuesday's game versus the Angels.
Gleyber Torres is getting a day at designated hitter, allowing Peraza to slide into the lineup at the keystone. With Josh Donaldson (hamstring) due back Wednesday, Peraza could be headed back to the minors soon.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Out again Tuesday
Urias (ear) remains out of the Orioles' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.
Urias was hit by a pitch in the head during Saturday's game against the White Sox. While it appears he avoided a concussion, he has a bruise behind his ear and is surely still sore. It's not clear whether Urias is available off the bench.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Unlikely to be used at second base
Burger is unlikely to be used at second base once Yoan Moncada (back) returns, White Sox manager Pedro Grifol intimated to Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com on Tuesday.
Burger dabbled at second base briefly with the White Sox last season and has seen a little action at the position in the minors, as well. However, Grifol doesn't seem to view Burger as a realistic option at the keystone, citing the shift restrictions making the position more demanding. It's possible the White Sox will look for other ways to keep Burger's bat in the lineup if he continues hitting, though. Burger entered play Tuesday with home runs in three straight games and four overall in eight games this season.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Feeling better
Moncada (back) told White Sox manager Pedro Grifol on Monday that he's feeling better, but the manager said Tuesday that Moncada won't return until he's 100 percent, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
"I haven't spoke to him today," Grifol said. "He was better yesterday. Not sure how close he is to getting back. But he's making improvements. When he does come back, I want him to be feeling good and not at 80 percent or 75 percent." Grifol's quote would seem to suggest Moncada's return isn't imminent, although there's nothing definitive on the third baseman's status. General manager Rick Hahn indicated previously that he hoped Moncada could return during the team's April 21-26 road trip. Jake Burger's performance at third base seemingly makes it easier to take things slowly with Moncada.

Curtis Mead 3B | WAS
Rays' Curtis Mead: Slow start at Triple-A
Mead is hitting .200 with zero home runs and a 14:7 K:BB in 50 at-bats for Triple-A Durham.
Mead hit .278/.376/.486 in 20 games at this level to close last season, so he shouldn't be overmatched. His .270 BABIP, 22.2 percent hard-hit rate and 35.3 percent infield-flyball rate suggest Mead's quality of contact has been subpar in a small sample.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Manning third base
Burger is starting at third base and batting sixth for the White Sox on Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader against the Phillies.
Burger will be trying to make it four straight games with a home run when he goes up against Zack Wheeler. The 27-year-old has seized the third base job for the White Sox while Yoan Moncada (back) is on the shelf and makes for a viable deep-league play in fantasy leagues while he's playing regularly.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Hits fourth homer of season
Chapman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 9-2 loss against the Astros.
After Houston struck for seven runs in the bottom of the first, Chapman put Toronto on the board with a solo blast in the second, marking his fourth homer of the season. However, the third baseman proceeded to strike out in each of his next three plate appearances. After totaling 23 hits and 15 RBI in his first 12 games, Chapman has just two hits and one RBI over his past four starts.

Tyler Freeman 3B | COL
Guardians' Tyler Freeman: Gets call-up from Triple-A
The Guardians recalled Freeman from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
Freeman was off to a blazing start at Columbus with a 1.100 OPS, two home runs and five stolen bases across 64 plate appearances. The infielder might only be around for a few days while reliever Enyel De Los Santos (personal) is on paternity leave. With Amed Rosario (back) tending to a minor injury and sitting out the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Tigers, Freeman will start at shortstop and bat eighth.

Nick Maton DH | CHW
Tigers' Nick Maton: Batting leadoff Tuesday
Maton is starting at third base and batting leadoff for the Tigers in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Guardians, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Maton has been splitting time between second and third base since Tyler Nevin arrived and will settle in at the hot corner for this one. The 26-year-old is hitting just .195 but is showing some surprising pop early in the season with three home runs.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Provides early offense
Jung went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Monday's 4-0 win over the Royals.
Jung, who normally bats fifth, slid up to cleanup, as Adolis Garcia was given the night off. The move paid immediate dividends in the first inning when Jung hit his third home run of the season, giving Texas an early lead it would not relinquish. The 25-year-old third baseman has a six-game hitting streak and has hit safely in 12 of 15 to start the season.
