Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Goes deep in rout
Suarez went 2-for-4 with a home run, two total runs, two total RBI and a walk in Monday's 10-1 win against Boston.
Suarez hit one of three Mariners homers in the blowout win, walloping a 434-foot shot to center field in the eighth inning. The long ball was just the second for Suarez over his past 26 games, a stretch during which he has batted .181 with only four extra-base hits and 29 strikeouts. The veteran has just four homers on the campaign after going deep at least 31 times in each of his previous four full seasons (excluding the shortened 2020 campaign).

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Belts go-ahead home run
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's win over the Cubs.
Bregman drilled a two-run shot to put the Astros ahead in the seventh inning. He was stuck in a 6-for-34 (.176) slump over his previous nine games since his last home run May 3. Bregman boosted his slash line to .212/.324/.346 with 10 extra-base hits and 18 RBI through 41 games.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Not playing Monday
LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Monday's game versus the Blue Jays, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
The veteran infielder appears to be receiving a routine day off. Oswaldo Cabrera will handle third base while LeMahieu rides the bench.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Lands on IL with groin strain
The Angels placed Rendon on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left groin strain.
The move is retroactive to Sunday, so Rendon will be eligible for activation May 24. Whether he has a chance to be ready at that time isn't clear at this point. Gio Urshela is starting at third base Monday in Rendon's place and should see regular action at the position for at least the next week and a half.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Moving rehab up to Triple-A
Lewis (knee) has been moved up to Triple-A St. Paul to continue his rehab assignment, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
Lewis went 2-for-6 with a double and a couple stolen bases in two games over the weekend with Double-A Wichita in his first official game action since tearing his ACL last summer. He'll now continue to ease back into things at St. Paul. The Twins figure to proceed slowly with Lewis given how much time he's missed, but they do now have a clear opening at third base following the recent demotion of Jose Miranda to St. Paul. Lewis made one start at third base and one at shortstop during his time with Wichita. Because he opened the season on the 60-day injured list, Lewis won't be eligible to join the Twins until May 29.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Likely to go on IL
The Angels are expected to place Rendon (groin) on the 10-day injured list Monday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com relayed Sunday that the Angels informed infielder Livan Soto that he'll be called up from Double-A Rocket City ahead of Monday's game in Baltimore, implying that Rendon will head to the IL in a corresponding move after missing Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Guardians with left groin tightness. Gio Urshela is expected to serve as the Angels' primary third baseman in Rendon's stead, while Soto and Luis Rengifo will likely share time at the keystone.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Homers in return to lineup
Burger went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Astros.
Burger gave the Sox life after launching a first pitch curveball that just snuck over the left field wall to bring his squad within a run. The 27-year-old now has eight homers in just 81 plate appearances on the year and should find himself in a daily role as long as Eloy Jimenez (abdomen) is out with injury. Burger is now slashing .239/.321/.648 with 16 RBI, 12 runs and a 7:26 BB:K.

Taylor Walls 3B | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Smacks grand slam in win
Walls went 3-for-4 with a triple, a homer, four RBI and a steal in Sunday's victory over the Yankees.
Walls filled up the stat sheet Sunday, logging three hits, including a triple and a grand slam, powering the Rays to an 8-7 victory. Walls now has seven homers in 92 at-bats this season, one shy of his career high set in 407 at-bats last year. The 26-year-old infielder is slashing .281/.373/.583 with 22 runs scored, 18 RBI and seven stolen bases through 110 plate appearances while carving out a regular role in Tampa Bay's lineup.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Twins' Kyle Farmer: Strong in win
Farmer went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 16-3 win over the Cubs.
Farmer has hit safely in five straight games since returning from a mouth injury. Sunday marked his first multi-hit effort in that span, as he led the Twins with three hits in the contest. The hot return to action puts the infielder at a .286/.345/.449 slash line with two home runs, eight RBI, 11 runs scored, two doubles and no stolen bases through 55 plate appearances. Farmer has started all five games since his return at third base, including four contests versus right-handed pitchers, so it appears he's closer to maintaining an everyday role than falling back into a platoon with utility man Willi Castro.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Athletics' Jace Peterson: Sitting against lefty
Peterson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Peterson has a .229/.308/.314 slash line and 28.2 percent strikeout rate through 11 games in May and will head to the bench Sunday with southpaw Andrew Heaney pitching for Texas. Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) will start at the hot corner in his return from the injured list.
