  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Reaches six times, swipes two bags

Ramirez went 3-for-3 with an RBI single, a double, two runs scored, two stolen bases and three intentional walks in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

Ramirez had a monster game Tuesday, joining Vladimir Guerrero as the only two players since 1961 to be walked intentionally three times and steal two bases in a game. Ramirez also reached 77 RBI for the season in the process, breaking a tie with Albert Belle for the third most by a Cleveland player before the All-Star break. Ramirez is up to 18 steals on the season to go along with a .275/.331/.533 slash line.

  • Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Smacks 15th home run

Westburg went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss against the Cubs.

Westburg took Jameson Taillon deep to one of the deepest parts of Camden Yards in the left-center field seats. The 418-foot blast was Westburg's third-longest homer this season and his 15th overall. He became the fourth different Orioles player with 15 or more home runs this season, most of any team in MLB. The 25-year-old continued his stellar first half, and he's now slashing .281/.328/.512 with 50 RBI and is on his way to his first All-Star appearance.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Powers offense in win

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.

Bregman was the only Astro with multiple hits Tuesday, delivering an RBI single in the fifth inning and a two-run homer in the seventh. The long ball was his second in four games, perhaps signaling a strong second half to come. He's batting .294 (25-for-85) over his last 20 contests compared to .254 on the year. The third baseman has added a .727 OPS, 11 homers, 44 RBI, 42 runs scored, two stolen bases, 18 doubles and two triples across 381 plate appearances.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Tigers' Gio Urshela: Homers, triples in loss

Urshela went 3-for-5 with a triple, a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-8, 10-inning loss to the Guardians.

Urshela is enjoying a solid July, as he's now batting .355 this month. That's allowed the veteran to raise his season batting average to .257. Urshela hit .299 across 62 games in an injury-shortened campaign for the Angels last year and is a career .275 hitter over nine MLB seasons, so he could continue to trend upward down the stretch.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Will rest shoulder over break

Devers will skip next week's All-Star Game in order to rest a nagging left shoulder injury, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Devers missed a few games back in April after injuring the shoulder and it's evidently still caused discomfort at times. The third baseman's production has gotten better every month this season, so the injury doesn't seem to be affecting him much. He has started every game since June 11, including Tuesday's versus the Athletics. Still, Devers and the Red Sox felt it was best for him to rest up over the All-Star break. A replacement for Devers on the American League roster will be announced in the coming days.

  • Brooks Lee SS | MIN

    Twins' Brooks Lee: Getting breather

Lee is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Lee has started in six straight games since being called up June 3 and has gone 11-for-24 at the plate during that stretch. He'll get the day off Tuesday, as the Twins move Jose Miranda to third base and have Matt Wallner DH.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Starting rehab assignment

Moncada (adductor) will begin a rehab assignment with the White Sox' Arizona Complex League affiliate Tuesday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

It will be his first game action in three months, as Moncada has been slowly working his way back from an adductor strain. Given the long layoff, he will surely require several rehab games before returning to Chicago's active roster. A return before the end of the month for Moncada should be doable.

  • Rays' Junior Caminero: Begins rehab assignment

Caminero (quadricep) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with the Rays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.

Caminero has been shelved since late May with a Grade 2 left quadriceps strain but has finally been cleared to return to game action. After getting in a few rookie-level contests, the top prospect will eventually move back up to Triple-A Durham, where he's slashed .261/.333/.478 with eight home runs over 153 plate appearances this season. Caminero could still receive a promotion to the Rays after the All-Star break, but at this point, he probably won't be called up until at least August.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Plates run in return

Rendon went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Monday's loss to Texas.

Rendon returned from a stint on the 60-day injured list due to a torn hamstring and batted leadoff while playing third base. The veteran didn't appear to have any lingering effects of the injury and plated his team's final run with a single in the seventh inning. Rendon is expected to be a near-everyday part of Los Angeles' lineup moving forward, though he may see some starts at DH to help him ease back into action after the long layoff.

  • Miguel Sano 3B | LAA

Angels' Miguel Sano: DFA'd by Halos

The Angels designated Sano for assignment Monday.

The move is to make room on the roster for Anthony Rendon (hamstring), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Monday. Sano came off the 10-day IL on June 25 after recovering from knee inflammation and was in contention for an everyday role at third base after Luis Rengifo (wrist) was placed on the injured list. However, Sano has gone just 1-for-22 with nine strikeouts since his return, and his playing time was set to diminish even further with Rendon off the IL. Should Sano clear waivers, he will have the option of sticking with the Halos in Triple-A or decline an outright assignment and seek to join another club.
