Jorge Polanco 2B | SEA
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Knee soreness crops up
Polanco is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants due to soreness in his surgically repaired left knee, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Polanco underwent a procedure in October to repair the patellar tendon in his left knee and didn't appear to have any issues during spring training, but he's now sitting Sunday for the second consecutive game. The 31-year-old has gone 9-for-22 with two homers and eight RBI this season, though he's been limited to just five games due to the injury and a stint on the paternity list.

Cam Smith 3B | HOU
Astros' Cam Smith: Sitting Sunday
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Smith will get a day off to clear his head after what's been a rough start to his big-league career. Through his first six games, Smith has gone 2-for-18 with nine strikeouts against two walks.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Absent from Sunday's lineup
Miranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Miranda went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, but he'll still sit Sunday for the third time in Minnesota's past four games. Trevor Larnach will receive another turn at designated hitter with Harrison Bader starting in left field.

Will Wagner 2B | SD
Blue Jays' Will Wagner: Out against lefty
Wagner is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Wagner will be joined on the bench by fellow left-handed hitter Alan Roden while the Mets send southpaw David Peterson to the bump. Ernie Clement will replace Wagner at third base and bat sixth.

Oswaldo Cabrera LF | NYY
Yankees' Oswaldo Cabrera: Sitting again Sunday
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
Cabrera will take a seat for a second day in a row after starting at third base in each of the preceding five contests. Though Cabrera is batting .316 on the season and still appears to be the preferred option at the hot corner, manager Aaron Boone will reward Oswald Peraza with another start after Peraza went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs in Saturday's 10-4 win.

Cam Smith 3B | HOU
Astros' Cam Smith: Strikeouts piling up
Smith went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts Saturday against the Twins.
Smith has served as Houston's primary right fielder after an eye-catching spring training. His results haven't carried over into the regular season, however, as he is hitting only .111 across 21 plate appearances while also striking out nine times. If he continues to struggle to make consistent contact, Smith will likely lose playing time and potentially be in danger of a demotion to Triple-A Sugar Land.

Dylan Moore 2B | TEX
Mariners' Dylan Moore: Swats second homer
Moore went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Giants on Saturday.
Moore provided the only run for Seattle on his 411-foot solo shot to center field in the fifth inning. The long ball continued a hot start to the season for the utility man, as he is slashing .400/.500/.800 with two homers, two RBI, three runs and a stolen base through 18 plate appearances. Moore doesn't have a set position or an everyday starting role, but the Mariners have been finding ways to get him into contests consistently. In addition to entering three games as a pinch hitter, Moore has already logged time at first base, second base, third base and DH this season.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Set to travel with team
Jung (neck) went 1-for-3 with a two-RBI single in a rehab appearance with Double-A Frisco on Saturday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Jung served as the designated hitter Saturday but will play third base Sunday. Assuming that appearance goes to plan, he'll travel with the Rangers on their upcoming road trip and could be activated from the injured list as soon as Monday.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
Angels' Yoan Moncada: Likely out Sunday
Moncada (thumb) will likely be sidelined until Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Moncada was removed from Friday's game and was absent from Saturday's lineup after aggravating a thumb injury. It sounds as if Moncada will be able to avoid a stint on the injured list, and he'll have an extra day to rest with the Angels off Monday.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Goes yard in Saturday's win
Miranda went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Astros.
The 26-year-old finally connected for his first extra-base hit of 2025 when he took Spencer Arrighetti deep in the fourth inning. Miranda has been a consistent presence in Minnesota's injury-depleted infield to begin the year, but he hasn't exactly seized the opportunity, batting .174 (4-for-23) in seven appearances with a 0:8 BB:K. Once players like Brooks Lee (back) and Royce Lewis (hamstring) are ready to come off the IL, Miranda is likely to be squeezed for playing time if he doesn't pick up the pace at the plate.
