Trejo went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI on Wednesday against the Brewers.

Trejo came to bat with the bases loaded and two outs in the fourth inning and delivered a bases-clearing double. He added a single later in the game to record his first multi-hit effort since April 10. Trejo has been operating as Colorado's everyday second baseman since April 18, though he's hit just .195 with six RBI and two runs scored across 41 at-bats in that span.

Albies went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 14-6 rout of the Marlins.

That's now six extra-base hits (four doubles and two homers) in the last three games for Albies, who is trying to give Ronald Acuna a run for the title of hottest hitter in the Atlanta lineup. Over his last 12 games, Albies is batting .341 (15-for-44), boosting his slash line on the season to .275/.318/.567 with nine homers, 15 runs and 26 RBI through 31 contests.

Ibanez went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI in an 8-1 win over the Mets during the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.

After getting the start in left field and going 0-for-2 in the matinee, Ibanez came back out for the nightcap as the DH while batting ninth and collected his first hits since his promotion at the end of April. The 30-year-old has seen most of his action at third base so far, but his versatility could net him consistent playing time across the diamond if his bat gets going. Ibanez does have a career .289/.361/.463 slash line in over 1,500 plate appearances at Triple-A, but he hasn't been able to replicate that level of performance in the majors.

Gorman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Angels.

The 22-year-old clubbed his seventh home run of the season Wednesday and already halfway to his homer total from his rookie campaign last year. The Cardinals are off to a horrible start in 2023 with a 10-21 record, but Gorman is doing his part at the plate with a .277/.361/.553 slash line, 23 RBI, eight runs and two steals.

Drury went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Cardinals.

Drury tied the game at 1-1 in the second inning with his 382-foot shot to left. The infielder continues to showcase his decent power-hitting skills, as he's coming off of a 28-home run season with the Reds and Padres. The 30-year-old is now slashing .235/.273/.480 on the year.

Valdez went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base Wednesday in an 8-3 victory versus Toronto.

Valdez hit a grounder to first base in the fifth frame that was initially ruled an error, but it was eventually changed to a single, giving him two RBI on the play. The 24-year-old has collected at least one hit in seven of his eight games this season and is batting a cool .345 (10-for-29) overall. Valdez appears to have taken the reins as Boston's starting second baseman, as he has started at the position in six of the team's past seven contests.

Vargas went 1-for-4 with a homer, two RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Phillies.

Vargas stayed hot Tuesday, smacking his second homer of the season, a two-run shot off Aaron Nola, before stealing his second base. After a slow start to the season, Vargas has gone 11-for-39 in his last 10 games with five doubles and two home runs. The 23-year-old Vargas is now slashing .237/.363/.409 with two home runs, 15 RBI and 16 runs scored in 114 plate appearances while seeing regular playing time at second base.

Marte went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI, an additional run and two walks in Wednesday's 12-7 win at Texas.

Marte had just two home runs and six RBI in his first 24 games of the season, but he's surpassed and doubled up those numbers over the past four contests with three long balls and six runs driven in. The 29-year-old typically hits second against right-handed pitchers and leadoff against lefties, so his run scoring is likely to be more consistent than his RBI production.

Diaz is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners

Diaz is sitting for a second consecutive game after missing Tuesday's loss to the Mariners. Tony Kemp gets the start at second base and will hit second against Logan Gilbert and Seattle.

Valdez is starting at second base and batting seventh for the Red Sox in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Valdez got a day off Tuesday versus a lefty, but this will be his sixth start at second base in the last seven games. The 24-year-old is limited defensively, but he's 8-for-24 with a homer and three doubles as his big-league career gets underway.
