Espinosa (personal) is back in the lineup Saturday against the Braves, William Ladson of MLB.com reports.

Espinosa flew back to California earlier in the week to be with his wife following the birth of their child, but he's now rejoined the team and will get the starting nod at shortstop Saturday. Espinosa will bat seventh in the order against the Braves' Josh Collmenter.

Solarte is currently away from the team to tend to a family issue, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

He was scratched from the lineup earlier Friday for an undisclosed reason, but it has since been reported that Solarte has gone home to deal with a family matter. The Padres haven't placed him on the bereavement list at this point, so Solarte could theoretically return in the very near future. However, the Padres have not commented on how long Solarte will be away from the club.

Altuve (oblique) is back in the lineup for Friday's game against the Mariners, batting third and playing second base Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

This is extremely encouraging for Altuve to get back into the lineup Friday after leaving Wednesday's game with dreaded oblique discomfort. He'll bat in his usual spot and start at the keystone with the Astros facing ace Felix Hernandez.

Beckham has been added to the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.

Jace Peterson was initially set to start at second base Friday, but he was a late scratch due to a left ankle sprain. Beckham will take over at second base and bat sixth in the order against Washington's Max Scherzer.

Franklin (hamstring) said Friday that he hopes to return this season, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The fact that Franklin said he "hopes" to return this year implies there's a chance he does not. Franklin suffered a strained hamstring during Thursday's game, which is the type of injury that might threaten to push him to the DL without expanded rosters. He said the hamstring was more sore than he expected Friday morning.

Solarte has been scratched from Friday's lineup for an undisclosed reason.

Ryan Schimpf will move from second base to third base and Alexi Amarista will move into the vacated slot at second base. It's unclear if Solarte is injured, ill, or if there's another reason for the scratch at this point.

Franklin (hamstring) is not in the lineup Friday against the Orioles, Bill Chastain of the Tampa Tribune reports.

Franklin left Thursday's tilt early with a hamstring strain, and it seems to still be bothering him. It's still unclear how severe the ailment is, so it's unclear how long he'll be sidelined. For Friday night, Alexei Ramirez will man shortstop and bat eighth.

Espinosa is out of the lineup Friday against the Braves, MASN's Mark Zuckerman reports.

There's a chance Espinosa rejoins the team in Atlanta for the start of the series, but he will not start the opener. Espinosa flew back to California after Wednesday's game to be with his wife for the birth of the couple's child. Stephen Drew will man shortstop and bat eighth in his absence.

Semien went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and four RBI in Thursday's 14-5 win over the Royals.

Semien helped his teammates pile on as they completed a four-game sweep, capping Oakland's bonanza with a three-run homer in the eighth inning. He also contributed a run-scoring double earlier in the contest, matching his season high for RBI in a single game. Semien's struggled during the second half, but his bat came alive during the Royals series with a pair of homers and 10 RBI. The slugging shortstop now has 25 home runs and 66 RBI on the season -- both career highs -- but is slashing just .235/.296/.436.

Franklin left Thursday's game with a left hamstring strain, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

It looked as though Franklin grabbed as his knee after going to the ground to complete a double play, but the Rays later clarified that it was a hamstring strain that forced him out. Depending on the severity of the strain, Franklin could be out or at least limited for a significant part of the final few weeks.
