Lopez is not in Thursday's lineup against the Tigers.

He will sit for a third straight game after starting eight in a row. Lopez is hitting .250/.267/.341 with one home run and zero steals over his last 25 games.

Wong's contract was purchased from Triple-A Durham prior to Thursday's game against the Blue Jays, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports. He's starting at second base and hitting eighth in his big-league debut Thursday, per Tolentino.

The younger brother of Kolten Wong, Kean has been a super utility player at Triple-A, capable of playing all three outfield spots in addition to second base, third base and shortstop. While his older brother was a first-round pick and highly touted prospect, Wong has always profiled as a utility player after getting selected in the fourth round of the 2013 draft. This was his third year at Triple-A, so he unsurprisingly had his best season at that level, hitting .307/.375/.464 with 10 home runs and six steals in 113 games.

Estrada (hamstring) will play for Double-A Trenton in the Eastern League Division Series, Matt Kardos of Pinstriped Prospects reports.

Although the specific date of his return has yet to be announced, Estrada figures to see game action in the coming days with the ELDS starting Wednesday and scheduled to end no later than Sept. 8. The 23-year-old has not played since being placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained hamstring Aug. 18.

Marte went 3-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Padres.

During a scoreless game in the bottom of the seventh, Marte came up to bat with the bases loaded and crushed a 411-foot grand slam off Luis Perdomo. It was the second grand slam of Marte's career and his 30th long ball of the season. The 25-year-old has been scorching hot, tallying eight hits and eight RBI over the three-game series with San Diego.

Castro went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Royals.

Castro has been reasonably productive for the Tigers this year with a .281 batting average through 78 games, though he's offered very little pop as evidenced by his .672 OPS. The 25-year-old should maintain regular playing time as he auditions for a 2020 role in Detroit.

Torres went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.

The 22-year-old took Lance Lynn deep in the fourth inning for his 34th homer of the year, and 11th in his last 23 games. Torres' power surge has come with a .295/.344/.693 slash line, and though one thing that could stand between him and a 40-HR campaign is how much rest he gets down the stretch to prepare for the playoffs.

Rengifo is not starting Wednesday against Oakland.

Rengifo sits for just the third time since the start of August. His .239/.356/.398 slash line over that stretch is decent but not particularly exciting. David Fletcher moves over to second base Wednesday, with Matt Thaiss starting at the hot corner.

Urias remains on the bench for Wednesday's game against Arizona.

The Padres should seemingly be giving the vast majority of at-bats to their young players down the stretch, but Urias finds himself on the bench in favor of Greg Garcia for the second game in a row and the third time in four games. Urias's .080 batting average over his last nine games could partially explain that decision.

Dubon is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, according to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Dubon will be held out in favor of Corban Joseph after starting the last two games at the keystone. Both Joseph and fellow infielder Donovan Solano are no longer in the "prospect" stage of their careers like Dubon is, but at least for the moment, that duo is preventing Dubon from seeing everyday at-bats.

Rodriguez is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Royals.

Rodriguez sits after starting 16 straight games. He's hit a solid .262/.277/.574 over that stretch. Harold Castro starts at second base Wednesday.
