Hoerner is not starting Monday against the Pirates.

Hoerner has just two hits in his last seven games, part of a season in which he's hitting a rather disappointing .232/.310/.273. Jason Kipnis starts ahead of him at second base for the second game in a row.

Urias isn't in Monday's lineup against the Reds.

Urias will remain on the bench for a second consecutive game after going 1-for-20 with two walks and nine strikeouts over the last 10 games. Jedd Gyorko will shift to third base with Daniel Vogelbach starting at first.

Chavis went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, five RBI, three runs and one walk in Sunday's win against the Red Sox.

Chavis set the tone for the Red Sox on Sunday with home runs off promising right-hander Deivi Garcia in the second and third innings. Although Boston put up 10 runs in the win, Chavis was the only player on the team with multiple RBI. The 25-year-old went 0-for-13 with five strikeouts over his past three games, but he came through with his best performance of the 2020 season Sunday.

Rojas was removed from Sunday's game against the Astros with lower back discomfort, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

Rojas was replaced defensively in the bottom of the sixth inning, and the team revealed after the game that he was dealing with lower back discomfort. He's currently considered day-to-day.

Garcia is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Marlins.

Garcia went 2-for-3 during the matinee and will take a seat for Game 2 with lefty Braxton Garrett starting for Miami. Josh Harrison will start at the keystone in Game 2.

Hoerner is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Hoerner will retreat to the bench after starting in six of the Cubs' last eight games. He went 4-for-17 over that stretch, bringing his season-long slash line to .235/.313/.276 in 112 plate appearances. Jason Kipnis will spell Hoerner at the keystone in the series finale.

Barreto will undergo shoulder surgery Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The 24-year-old landed on the injured list in early September with a left shoulder subluxation (partial dislocation), and he'll now go under the knife to address the injury. Barreto is out for the season and will receive a more specific recovery timeline after the surgery.

Lowe is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Lowe started the last six games and went 8-for-21 with one homer, one double, three RBI and four walks during that stretch, but he'll take a seat against southpaw John Means. Joey Wendle receives the start at second base in Sunday's series finale.

Arauz will fill in at shortstop in Sunday's series finale against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Arauz fills in for the resting Xander Bogaerts on Sunday. He entered Saturday's game for second baseman Christian Arroyo, who left with back spasms and is not starting Sunday. If there's a need at second base for a few days, Arauz and Tzu-Wei Lin will share the job.

Arroyo (back) is not in the lineup Sunday versus the Yankees, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Arroyo was removed from Saturday's contest after experiencing back spasms, and he'll miss at least one game as a result. According to Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe, the 25-year-old won't be available off the bench Sunday. Tzu-Wei Lin will start at the keystone in his place and bat eighth.
