Hernandez went 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs, three RBI, a walk and three runs scored Monday against the Blue Jays.

Hernandez belted a two-run homer in the top of the first inning, and he delivered a solo homer in the top of the sixth, marking his 12th and 13th home runs of the season. His performance at the plate was a welcome sight for Boston, as Hernandez was just 1-for-17 over his last five contests entering the night.

Polanco isn't in the starting lineup for Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

Polanco picked up a stolen bag, two base knocks and an RBI in Game 1, and he'll get the rest of the day off. Luis Arraez draws the start at second base and bats leadoff in Polanco's place.

Lux was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a strained left hamstring.

Lux was diagnosed with a mild hamstring strain after exiting Sunday's loss to the Rockies and he'll be sidelined for at least the next 10 days. Despite it initially being labeled a mild strain, manager Dave Roberts said the young infielder's recovery "could take some time," per Juan Toribio of MLB.com.

Frazier will sit Monday against the Diamondbacks.

This appears to be nothing other than a routine day off for Frazier, who's in the middle of a career year, hitting .326/.391/.456. That performance may earn him a move out of Pittsburgh, as he's been one of the more talked-about players in the lead-up to the trade deadline. Nearly every potential move would grant him an upgrade in both park factors and the quality of the lineup surrounding him. Wilmer Difo starts at second base in his absence.

Hoerner will be on the bench for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Hoerner went hitless Sunday against Arizona, ending a seven-game hitting streak. He'll hit the bench Monday, with Eric Sogard starting at second base.

Short isn't starting Monday's game against the Rangers.

Short had started in each of the last three games, and he went 1-for-10 with a run and five strikeouts during that time. Harold Castro will start at shortstop and bat seventh.

Arroyo hit the injured list as expected with a left hamstring strain Monday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Arroyo started at first base for the first time in his career Sunday, a position he was expected to occupy on a regular basis going forward, with the arrival of center fielder Jarren Duran pushing Enrique Hernandez in to second base. Arroyo lasted less than three innings at his new spot before injuring his hamstring while stretching to catch a throw. He'll be out for at least 10 days, with Danny Santana (quadriceps) returning from the injured list in a corresponding move. Santana could split time with Bobby Dalbec at first base until Arroyo returns.

Rojas went 1-for-1 with a double, four walks, two runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Cubs.

Rojas has reached base safely in nine straight games (.525 OBP) and has been a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season for the Diamondbacks. He's settled in as the team's primary leadoff hitter while moving around the diamond at second base, shortstop and corner outfield. Rojas is slashing .261/.348/.435 over a career-high 348 plate appearances.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said after Sunday's loss to the Yankees that Arroyo (hamstring) will likely need to spend time on the injured list, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Arroyo was diagnosed with a left hamstring strain after he left Sunday's game, and it's not yet clear whether he'll need to spend more than the minimum of 10 days on the injured list. The injury comes at a tough time for Arroyo, who was set to move into a full-time role after Cora announced prior to the contest that the 26-year-old would displace Bobby Dalbec as the team's primary first baseman versus right-handed pitchers. If the Red Sox elect not to give the starting job back to Dalbec, Danny Santana (quadriceps) -- who is set to be activated from the IL on Monday -- could serve as the primary replacement for Arroyo at first base.

Torres went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, an additional RBI, two walks and a strikeout in a 9-1 win over the Red Sox on Sunday.

Torres opened the game's scoring with a solo home run in the second, walked in the fourth, and brought home a run with his seventh-inning walk. He now has homers in consecutive games, though that brings his total to just five this season in 80 games after hitting three in 42 games in 2020. He'll look to continue the momentum with a short series against Philadelphia beginning Tuesday.
