Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Rockies' Thairo Estrada: Absence continuing Sunday
Estrada (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Estrada will sit for a fifth straight game as he continues to manage a bruised right hand. The veteran infielder said Saturday that he doesn't believe he'll require a stint on the injured list, but he could still end up on the shelf if his absence extends much longer. Kyle Farmer will man the keystone Sunday for Colorado.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Idle against righty
Frazier is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
After picking up starts in the corner outfield in three straight contests while going 3-for-9 with a stolen base, an RBI and a run, Frazier will head to the bench for a breather against righty Jack Leiter. Despite being out of the lineup Sunday, Frazier should continue to occupy a strong-side platoon role in left field, with either Alexander Canario or Tommy Pham slotting in against southpaws.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Filling in at shortstop
Hoerner will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Mariners.
The Cubs will rest Dansby Swanson for the first time all season, so Hoerner will shift over from his usual post at second base to cover shortstop. Hoerner doesn't have any home runs this season, though he's provided fantasy value with a .284 batting average, 41 runs, 31 RBI and 14 stolen bases through 72 games.

Jordan Lawlar SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Rolling since demotion
Lawlar has gone 18-for-63 (.286) with 10 extra-base hits, 14 RBI, five steals and 11 runs scored over 15 games since being sent back to Triple-A Reno. He's started at shortstop (nine starts), third base (five) and second base (one).
Lawlar had a rough go of it in the majors during a brief call-up in May, but he's overcome that disappointment and continued to produce at the Triple-A level. Lawlar has a .321/.411/.586 slash line with 19 doubles, four triples, 10 home runs, 45 RBI, 18 steals and 49 runs over 249 plate appearances for the Aces this season.

Matt McLain SS | CIN
Reds' Matt McLain: Deposits pair of doubles
McLain went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Cardinals.
McLain continued his strong June, extending his hitting streak to nine games while notching his first three-hit performance of the season. The 25-year-old has struggled overall in 2025, slashing just .209/.302/.340 with 15 extra-base hits and 26 RBI through 68 games. However, he appears to be rounding into form and showing flashes of his 2023 self, when he posted a .290/.357/.507 line with 43 extra-base hits and 50 RBI in only 89 games.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Gets on base five times Saturday
Marte went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.
Marte has gone 10-for-15 over his last three contests, adding seven RBI in that span. The second baseman is clearly taking advantage of this weekend's series in Colorado, especially since he's had momentum all month -- he's batting .371 (26-for-70) with 10 extra-base hits over 18 games in June. Marte is now hitting .311 on the year, the first time he's been over .300 since May 5. He has a 1.007 OPS and has added 13 home runs, 30 RBI, 43 runs scored, 11 doubles and two stolen bases over 50 games.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Rockies' Thairo Estrada: Not in Saturday's lineup
Estrada (hand) is not in the Rockies' starting lineup against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Estrada will be out of the lineup for a fourth consecutive game due to a right hand injury, but he told reporters Saturday that he doesn't believe he'll need a stint on the injured list, per Thomas Harding of MLB.com. Orlando Arcia will start at the keystone and bat eighth.

Nolan Gorman 2B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: More playing time with Herrera out
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Friday that Gorman will receive "more opportunity" following the injury to Ivan Herrera (hamstring), Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Gorman made his 10th start in 11 games Friday, so he had already been playing a lot lately even before Herrera was hurt. However, the Herrera injury creates a clear path to at-bats at designated hitter against right-handed pitching, and Gorman can also see some action at second base on days when Brendan Donovan plays the outfield. Gorman is slashing .273/.385/.545 with three home runs in June.

Ildemaro Vargas 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ildemaro Vargas: Joins homer party in win
Vargas started at second base and went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two additional runs scored in Friday's 14-8 win over Colorado.
Vargas' two-run homer in the fifth inning snapped a 7-7 tie. It was the first home run of the season for Vargas, who was summoned from Triple-A Reno on May 29. Friday's start was just his fourth start (sixth appearance) in 20 games with the Diamondbacks.

Tim Tawa 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Tim Tawa: On base three times
Tawa started in center field and went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Friday's 14-8 win over the Rockies.
Tawa got the start in place of Alek Thomas against a lefty. His playing time has been sporadic since second baseman Ketel Marte returned from injury -- this was just Tawa's second start in two weeks. He was a below-.200 hitter when Marte was activated May 2, but Tawa has put together a .273 average since then in part-time duty.
