Isan Diaz 2B | DET
Marlins' Isan Diaz: Heads to bench
Diaz is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
Following an 0-for-4 showing Friday, Diaz is now batting .157 through his first 24 games, and he's been caught on both of his stolen-base attempts. The Marlins should be content to let Diaz work through his struggles, but manager Don Mattingly fills out the lineup card, and he may decide to leave Diaz out in favor of Neil Walker more often if Diaz can't get something going at the plate.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Sitting again Saturday
Marte (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Dodgers.
Marte left Tuesday's game with a right hamstring cramp, and while he was able to return for the Diamondbacks' next game, he's now been on the bench for two straight. His absence Friday was said to be precautionary. Tim Locastro is starting in center field Saturday with lefty Clayton Kershaw due up for Los Angeles.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Gets day off
McNeil is not in the lineup Saturday against the Phillies, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.
McNeil has started five of six games since returning from the injured list earlier in the month, going 5-for-23 with a home run and two doubles during that stretch. He'll give way to Juan Lagares in the outfield against lefty Jason Vargas on Saturday.

Mauricio Dubon SS | ATL
Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Will start at short Saturday
Dubon will make his debut at shortstop Saturday against the Padres, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Dubon has started consecutive games at the keystone -- the position he will be stationed at primarily down the stretch -- but the natural shortstop will spell Brandon Crawford against a southpaw Saturday. The 25-year-old has gone 1-for-7 in his first two starts in San Francisco, but his power/speed combo (20 homers and 10 steals in the minors this year) makes him an intriguing fantasy middle infielder as long as he retains regular playing time.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Four hits in win
Albies went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Friday's 10-7 win over the White Sox.
The second baseman has been having a rough month. This was Albies' first multi-hit performance since Aug. 10, and he slashed just .138/.222/.246 in 16 games between those efforts. Given how streaky he is -- he slashed .403/.442/.750 in the 16 games prior to his slump -- Friday's breakout could be a sign Albies is gearing up for a big September, however.

Josh Rojas 3B | CHW
Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Hits first homer
Rojas went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and another run scored in Friday's win over the Dodgers.
Rojas drilled his first major-league home run with a two-run shot off Casey Sadler in the seventh inning to tie the game at 4-4. Over 14 games, Rojas is batting .205/.295/.308 and should continue to see playing time against right-handed pitchers.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Sitting as precaution
Marte is out of Friday's lineup as a precaution due to his right hamstring issue, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Marte was pulled from Thursday's game after feeling something around the area where he experienced the hamstring cramp earlier in the week, and manager Torey Lovullo isn't taking any chances. It's unclear if the 25-year-old will be available off the bench, but he should be considered day-to-day for now.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Out of Friday's lineup
Marte is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers.
Marte made a late exit Thursday once Arizona had a big lead, but there's been no official indication that he's nursing an injury. The 25-year-old was dealing with a right hamstring cramp earlier in the week but had remained in the starting nine until Friday. Jarrod Dyson receives the start in center field while Adam Jones takes over in right.

Mauricio Dubon SS | ATL
Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Picks up hit in SF debut
Dubon started at the keystone and went 1-for-3 before exiting the game as part of a double switch in Thursday's 5-3 loss to San Diego.
Dubon's starting debut in San Francisco was put on hold after his promotion Tuesday (and a rare off day Wednesday), but he was given a start against a righty Thursday. The 25-year-old could take over regular duties at second base following the mildly surprising release of Scooter Gennett earlier this week. Dubon hit .308 with 20 homers and 10 steals over 123 Triple-A games between the Milwaukee and San Francisco systems this season, so there is certainly some fantasy appeal here if he is given everyday playing time down the stretch.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Removed from game late
Marte, who had been dealing with a hamstring injury, was replaced in center field to start the seventh inning during Thursday's win over the Dodgers.
There's nothing to indicate Marte was removed due to an aggravation of the hamstring strain, so his removal may be attributed to an abundance of caution. The Diamondbacks were leading 10-4 at the time, and it's logical to assume manager Torey Lovullo did not want to push Marte.
