Marte went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's 9-8 loss to the Dodgers.

Marte doubled and scored in both the fourth and sixth innings and came up twice in the eighth, walking and recording a two-RBI single. This was his fifth straight game with a hit. Although he has only four home runs, Marte's batting a robust .357 with a .404 on-base percentage.

The Cubs are hopeful that Hoerner (hamstring) will be ready to begin a minor-league rehab assignment in 7-to-10 days, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Hoerner has been able to complete full pregame workouts in recent days, leaving the Cubs optimistic about where he stands in his recovery from a strained left hamstring. He'll continue to build up during the current week before the Cubs map out a schedule of minor-league games for him to play. The 24-year-old would appear to have an outside chance of making it back from the 10-day injured list before the end of the month, but an early July return appears more realistic.

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Rojas will take a seat after he went 6-for-23 with two doubles, two walks, a stolen base and four runs while starting the past six games. Josh VanMeter will fill in for Rojas at second base and as the Diamondbacks' leadoff man.

Urias will start at third base and bat seventh Sunday against the Rockies.

Urias led off and scored three runs in Saturday's 6-5 win, but he'll move down in the batting order with Kolten Wong back in the lineup after a one-game respite. Now that Wong has overcome the oblique injury that sidelined him for two weeks, Urias will likely find himself in the bottom third of the batting order on a more frequent basis.

The Nationals optioned Garcia to Triple-A Rochester on Sunday.

Garcia looked like he could be moving into a large-side platoon role last week when Starlin Castro landed on the restricted list, but Castro was away from the team for only two days. With Washington back at full strength in the infield, playing time wasn't going to be available for Garcia, who will head back to the minors in order to play on an everyday basis.

India went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Saturday's 7-5 loss to San Diego.

All three of the second baseman's hits were singles. India has been boom or bust lately -- in his last six games, he has three multi-hit efforts and three 0-fers. The 24-year-old is slashing .262/.371/.412 with six home runs, 29 RBI, 27 runs scored and four stolen bases across 225 plate appearances as Cincinnati primary leadoff man.

Kim went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 win over Cincinnati.

After Fernando Tatis (shoulder) left Saturday's game, Kim filled in at shortstop. He made an impact in the eighth inning with a go-ahead two-run shot, which propelled San Diego to victory. The 25-year-old has struggled in his first major-league season with a .213/.266/.355 slash line, four homers, 20 RBI, 16 runs scored and five stolen bases across 169 plate appearances. Kim would be the logical choice to get the start at shortstop if Tatis is unavailable for Sunday's series finale versus Cincinnati.

Guillorme isn't starting Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Nationals.

Guillorme went 1-for-3 with a strikeout in Saturday's matinee, but he'll retreat to the bench for the second game of the twin bill. Jose Peraza will start at second base and bat seventh.

The Mets plan to reinstate McNeil (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

Although McNeil won't be available for the team's weekend series against the Nationals, he's expected to start one of the two games in Monday's doubleheader against Atlanta. The 29-year-old has been on the injured list since May 17 due to a left hamstring strain, but he's hit .353 with a home run and two doubles across five rehab games with Triple-A Syracuse.

Albies went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 9-1 win over the Cardinals.

His two-run shot off Carlos Martinez in the second inning broke the game open for Atlanta and gave Albies his 10th homer of the year. The second baseman hadn't gone yard since May 22, but he's still been plenty productive in the meantime, slashing .310/.376/.512 in his last 21 games with four steals, 14 runs and 19 RBI in addition to Friday's blast.
