  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Moves to bench

Stott is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Stott had started in each of the Phillies' previous five games, making four of those starts at second base while going 2-for-19 at the plate. Primary second baseman Jean Segura (hand) is back in action after a three-game absence, while shortstop Didi Gregorius and third baseman Johan Camargo form the left side of the Phillies' infield. Entering the season, Stott appeared to be battling Alec Bohm for the primary job at the hot corner, but both look to be behind Camargo in the pecking order at the moment.

  • Michael Chavis 2B | CIN

Pirates' Michael Chavis: Racks up three hits

Chavis went 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's win over the Nationals.

Chavis got the start against a lefty and once again made the most of the opportunity, recording his second three-hit game of the season and playing a key role in the win. His RBI single to score Ke'Bryan Hayes in the fifth inning proved to be the turning point of the contest. Chavis has been limited to just 14 plate appearances across five games so far, but he's hitting .500 with a double, a triple, a homer, five RBI and two runs scored, so it's safe to say he's making the most of every chance to step into the batter's box.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Goes yard again Saturday

Albies went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Padres.

The second baseman has now homered in three straight games and four of the last five, extending his hitting streak to six games in the process. Despite the hot streak, Albies is batting just .237 (9-for-38) through the first 10 games of the season, but his four homers, six runs and eight RBI have given him plenty of fantasy value.

  • Reds' Jonathan India: Absent from Saturday's lineup

India (hamstring) is not in Saturday's lineup against the Dodgers, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

There was cautious optimism that India would return Saturday after exiting Thursday's game with a hamstring injury. That is some indication that he will avoid a stint on the injured list, though he's now in line to miss his second consecutive contest. Brandon Drury will start at second base and hit eighth in India's absence.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Homers once again

Albies went 1-for-5 with a home run and two strikeouts in Friday's win over the Padres.

Albies extended his hitting streak to five games and also went yard for the third time over his last four contests. Through 40 plate appearances this season, the star second baseman is hitting only .242 but has shown the same kind of power that made him go yard 30 times in 2021.

  • Alan Trejo SS | COL

Rockies' Alan Trejo: Goes yard in season debut

Trejo went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's win over the Cubs.

Trejo blasted a bomb in the bottom of the fourth inning and it was a game-changing moment, as his three-run shot gave the Rockies a two-run lead. It was Trejo's first long ball of the season and second of his MLB career, though he's not expected to be a regular presence in the lineup going forward.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

    Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Swings bat

Rojas (oblique) has begun swinging a bat, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

That's a seemingly quick progression for Rojas, who was diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain. The Diamondbacks are getting by at third base with a rotation of bodies until Rojas is ready to rejoin the team.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Registers first theft

Lux went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk, two RBI and a stolen base in a 3-1 win against the Reds on Friday.

Lux singled, stole second and scored in the third inning, tripled and scored in the fifth and walked in the sixth. The 24-year-old has now hit safely in all six starts. Lux swiped as many as 27 bases in the minors but the 10 he swiped between Double-A and Triple-A in 2019 should be a barometer for his thefts.

  • Reds' Jonathan India: Out as expected

India (hamstring) is out of the lineup as expected Friday against the Dodgers.

India left Thursday's series opener with a hamstring injury. While the specifics of the injury remain unclear, manager David Bell suggested that it may only cost his second baseman one game. Brandon Drury will get the start at the keystone Friday.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Heads to bench Friday

Rodgers is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs.

Rodgers is 2-for-23 with an RBI, a run and 10 strikeouts while starting all six games so far this season, and he'll take a day on the bench to reset Friday. Garrett Hampson will start at the keystone in his place.
