Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Pirates' Michael Chavis: Won't start Saturday

Nolan Gorman 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: First career homer in win
Gorman went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, four RBI and three runs in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Brewers.
Gorman went off in this one. First he ripped a solo homer off Adrian Houser in the first inning, notching home run No. 1 of his MLB career. He then notched an RBI single in the third and a two-RBI double in the fourth before securing another single in the sixth frame. Coming into Saturday, Gorman had gone 0-for-11 in his prior four contests, but the four-hit effort raised his batting average to .360, and he now has a homer, seven runs and five RBI over his first 25 at-bats in the big-leagues.

Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Pirates' Michael Chavis: Managing forearm issue
Chavis was removed from Friday's game against the Padres with left forearm discomfort, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
The injury apparently stems from Wednesday when he was hit by a pitch, and he was unable to play through it Friday. Chavis struck out swinging in both his plate appearances before being lifted from the contest. The Pirates are already short on depth at first base with Yoshi Tsutsugo (back) and Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring) on the injured list, leaving Josh VanMeter to fill in at first base Friday with Chavis out.
