Josh Rojas 3B | CHW
Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: May need more time
Rojas (oblique) is unlikely to return for Arizona's series against the Marlins beginning Monday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Rojas is still progressing and taking at-bats in extended spring training. It's unclear if the organization wants to see him on a minor-league rehab assignment or if at-bats at the team's training facility are enough.

Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Pirates' Michael Chavis: Swats clutch homer Saturday
Chavis went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a 7-6 win over the Padres on Saturday.
After the Padres took the lead in the top of the eighth inning on a Manny Machado two-run homer, Chavis responded in the bottom of the frame with a two-run shot of his own to re-tie the score. The infielder had previously knocked in the Pirates' first run of the game with a first-inning single. Chavis' homer was his first in over a week and third through 60 plate appearances this season. He hit the same number of long balls in 124 plate appearances in 2021.

Isan Diaz 2B | DET
Giants' Isan Diaz: Traded to Giants
Diaz was traded to the Giants from the Marlins on Saturday for a player to be named or cash considerations, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Diaz remained in the Marlins' minor-league system for a little over a month after being designated for assignment in late March, but that will be the extent of his time with the club. Diaz has appeared in 145 big-league games, but he has posted just a.185 batting average and .562 OPS. He is still 25 and was once a top-100 prospect, so the Giants could give him another shot at the top level at some point.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Breaks tie with solo shot
Marte went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Saturday against the Cardinals.
Marte broke a scoreless tie in the eighth inning, leading off the inning with a homer off Miles Mikolas. The homer was just the first of the season for Marte, who's still hitting a miserable .146/.211/.256 on the year.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Scratched from lineup
India was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies in order to have a recovery day, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
The given reason seems to imply that India could return to the lineup Sunday. He returned from a hamstring injury Tuesday, and while he got a rest day Thursday, he evidently needs a bit more time before returning to a true everyday role. Brandon Drury will step into the lineup in his absence, batting fifth and playing second base.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Remains sidelined
Rodgers (back) remains on the bench for Saturday's game against Cincinnati, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Rodgers hasn't played since being scratched Wednesday due to back soreness. A trip to the injured list is seemingly a possibility, though no such move has been announced yet. Alan Trejo will get another start at second base Saturday.

Nolan Gorman 2B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Riding 15-game hit streak
Gorman currently sports a 15-game hitting streak at Triple-A Memphis, slashing .393/.433/.918 with 10 home runs, a 6.0 BB% and a 29.9 K% in 61 at-bats over that stretch.
It's tempting to get swept up in his power production, but recent history tells us that any hitter who is striking out 30 percent of the time at Triple-A is going to struggle mightily to hit for a high average in the majors. Gorman is nonetheless ahead of schedule, as he doesn't turn 22 until early May and has been arguably the most productive hitter in all the minors.

Liover Peguero SS | PIT
Pirates' Liover Peguero: Hitting well at Altoona
Peguero has hit .338/.357/.603 with three home runs, 16 RBI and 12 runs scored across 70 plate appearances with Double-A Altoona to begin the 2022 season.
Peguero has made the most of his first opportunity in the upper levels of the minor leagues. His 13.6 percent strikeout rate stands out in a positive way, particularly when contrasted with the fact that he was punched out on strikes 25.2 percent of the time with High-A Greensboro in 2021. While it's still too early in the campaign to draw conclusions, Peguero has also shown plenty of pop by accruing a .281 ISO and .439 wOBA. The only downside to his profile at this point is a three percent walk rate, though given the way he's impacted the ball it's difficult to argue he should be swinging less. Pittsburgh moves its prospects notoriously slowly, so Peguero isn't likely to see the majors until some point in 2023.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Drives in two runs
McNeil went 2-for-3 with two RBI in Friday's 3-0 win over the Phillies.
McNeil's two-run single in the fifth inning proved to be the only offense the Mets needed as the pitching staff combined to no-hit Philadelphia. The 30-year-old has delivered mulit-hit performances in four straight starts, going 8-for-14 during that stretch. He's now slashing .344/.400/.500 with nine RBI this season.

Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL
Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Bat stays hot
Kim went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a strikeout Friday against the Pirates.
He was hitting .182 on April 24 and is now hitting .273 just a few days later, having notched six hits in his last three games. Kim also has two home runs and seven RBI over this three-game heater.
