Peguero is starting at shortstop and batting eighth in Saturday's game against the Giants.

Peguero was called up by the Pirates on Friday, and he'll make his major-league debut as Saturday's starting shortstop. Over 54 games at Double-A Altoona to begin the year, the 21-year-old slashed .292/.315/.469 with five home runs, 33 RBI, 28 runs and 14 steals.

Guillorme isn't starting Saturday against the Marlins, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Guillorme started in the last four games and went 4-for-15 with a run and two strikeouts. However, he'll get a day off while Jeff McNeil shifts to second base with J.D. Davis serving as the designated hitter.

Peguero was called up by the Pirates on Friday, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports.

Peguero will jump straight from Double-A Altoona to replace Tucupita Marcano, who landed on the COVID-19 injured list. The former seemingly got the call ahead of fellow shortstop prospect Oneil Cruz due primarily to his geographical proximity to Pittsburgh rather than his major-league readiness, as the Pirates needed a player on very short notice. Peguero has stolen 14 bases in 54 games for Altoona this season and could make a fantasy impact with his legs if he's given a handful of starts, though whether or not his bat is ready to make the jump is unclear. His .292/.315/.469 slash line is good for a 113 wRC+, but the two-level jump may be a tough ask.

Marte (hamstring) isn't in the lineup Friday against the Twins.

Marte exited Wednesday's game against the Reds due to hamstring tightness and will be out of the lineup following Thursday's off day. Jake Hager is starting at the keystone and batting eighth.

Trejo was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Trejo was sent to the minors in early May but will rejoin the active roster and start at third base during Friday's game against the Padres. He should serve mainly as depth during his time on the major-league roster after he hit .257 with a homer, six runs and six RBI over 10 games with the Rockies earlier in the year.

Urias isn't starting Friday against the Reds.

Urias drew starts in the last nine games and hit .121 with a homer, four RBI, two runs, three walks and 15 strikeouts. Jace Peterson is starting at the hot corner while Keston Hiura takes over at second base Friday.

Stott is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Stott appears to be locked in as the Phillies' primary second baseman, but the lefty-hitting rookie is still expected to sit regularly versus southpaws like Washington's Patrick Corbin. The righty-hitting Yairo Munoz will pick up the start at the keystone and should serve as a short-side platoon mate for Stott until Johan Camargo (knee) is back from the 10-day injured list.

Kim will sit Thursday against the Cubs, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Kim went 1-for-1 with a triple, a walk, two runs and an RBI in Wednesday's 19-5 win and now owns a 1.057 OPS over his last eight games. His season slash line sits at .222/.314/.356, a performance which is good for a respectable 95 wRC+ in this year's subdued offensive environment. He'll sit Thursday as Sergio Alcantara takes over at shortstop.

Garcia went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to Atlanta.

Not much went right for the Nationals in this one, but Garcia at least took Spencer Strider deep in the fifth inning. The young shortstop has hit safely in six straight games, and since his promotion at the beginning of June he's slashed a dazzling .352/.368/.519 with two homers, six runs and nine RBI through 14 contests.

Rodgers went 1-for-3 with two walks and a run scored Wednesday against Cleveland.

Rodgers drew a one-out walk in the third inning and ultimately came around to score on a wild pitch. He has reached base in eight of his last nine games, also recording a home run, five RBI and six runs scored in that span. Rodgers has steadily seen his numbers tick up throughout the campaign, and he now has a .716 OPS across 222 plate appearances.
