Villar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Villar has now sat out each of the past three times the Giants have faced a right-handed starting pitcher, so manager Gabe Kapler may be viewing the righty-hitting rookie as a short-side platoon player at this time. Once Evan Longoria (hamstring) is cleared to return from the injured list, Villar could be in danger of being optioned back to Triple-A Sacramento.

Estrada was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list Sunday.

Estrada was struck in the head by a pitch Saturday and will be unavailable for at least the next week as he goes through the concussion protocols. Brandon Crawford (knee) was already on the injured list, so the Giants elected to acquire Dixon Machado from the Cubs to fill in at shortstop for the immediate future.

Kim went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in a loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Kim followed his big game Friday with a more modest performance Saturday, though fantasy managers who roster the infielder will largely be satisfied with the stolen base. The 26-year-old has swiped a bag in each of his past two games and is up to seven thefts on the campaign, one more than he logged in 117 contests last season. Kim has shown improvement this year with a .244/.329/.365 slash line, six homers and 35 RBI, though he'll likely lose playing time when Fernando Tatis (wrist) finally makes his return to the team.

Drury is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

The 29-year-old started the past 22 games and had an .827 OPS during that stretch. Drury will become a free agent during the offseason and is a popular trade target ahead of Tuesday's deadline. Donovan Solano will man third base Sunday for Cincinnati.

McNeil went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in a 4-0 victory versus Miami on Saturday.

McNeil put the Mets on the board with his solo shot to right field in the third inning. The long ball was his first since June 16 -- a span of 26 games. McNeil went deep 23 times in 2019 (his first full big-league campaign) but has since hit only 16 homers over 259 contests across the past three seasons.

India went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and a double in an 8-2 win over the Orioles on Saturday.

India turned on a letter-high inside fastball from Dean Kremer to pick up his seventh home run of the season and help power the Reds to a victory over the surging Orioles. After struggling through the month of June with a .167 average, India is slashing a quality .259/.337/.459 to go along with four home runs in July. The 25-year-old second baseman showed promise last season by posting a 3.1 Fangraphs WAR in his rookie campaign, so it is possible that he heats up down the stretch.

Estrada didn't lose consciousness and was able to leave the field under his own power with the help of the Giants' training staff. However, he was experiencing dizziness and trouble with his eyes after the game. As a result, he could be sidelined for a lengthy period of time. That will leave the Giants extremely shorthanded at shortstop as Brandon Crawford (knee) is also on the injured list, and Slusser reports that Donovan Walton (undisclosed) is sidelined at Triple-A Sacramento. That leaves Isan Diaz as a potential option to join the team Sunday.

Rodgers went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers.

Since July 15, Rodgers has recorded at least one hit in 11 of 12 games, with multiple hits in seven of them. The infielder has added a home run and five doubles in that span. For the season, he's slashing .278/.327/.430 with nine homers, 49 RBI, 49 runs scored, 23 doubles and two triples through 90 contests. The surge at the plate has solidified his everyday role at second base -- he's sat out just once since June 25.

Estrada exited Saturday's game against the Cubs after being hit by a pitch in the helmet, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Estrada stayed down momentarily but was able to walk off the field accompanied by trainers. There are no further details currently available. Jason Vosler entered the game as a pinch runner in Estrada's place.

Lux is not in Saturday's lineup against the Rockies.

With southpaw Kyle Freeland on the hill for the Rockies, Lux will head to the bench in favor of righty-hitting Hanser Alberto. Lux is hitting .338/.429/.563 with two home runs, three triples and four doubles in 23 games this month.
