  • Luis Urias 2B | TOR

Brewers' Luis Urias: Receiving day off

Urias is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

After going 2-for-11 with a double, four walks and a run while starting in each of the past four games, Urias will get a breather for the series finale with the Cubs. Jace Peterson will spell Urias at the hot corner and will bat seventh.

  • Ha-seong Kim SS | ATL

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Gets Sunday off

Kim is out of the lineup for Sunday's game in Kansas City.

Jake Cronenworth will slide over to shortstop to fill in for Kim, who is taking a seat for the first time since Aug. 14. Kim came up big at the plate over the first two games of the series with the Royals, going 4-for-10 with a home run, a double and five RBI.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Gets rest Sunday

Marte is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Marte had served as Arizona's designated hitter in each of the past five games, going 3-for-22 with a walk, two RBI and a run over those contests. Rookie Stone Garrett will fill in for him in the series finale.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Gets rest Sunday

Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

After coming off the injured list Friday, Garcia went 2-for-8 with an RBI and a stolen base while starting both of the first two games of the series at the keystone. Cesar Hernandez will step in at second base Sunday, but Garcia should be the Nationals' primary option at the position the rest of the way.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Cleared to rejoin lineup

Lux (neck) will start at second base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Marlins, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Lux is back in action Sunday after neck soreness kept him on the bench for each of the past four contests. Assuming Lux experiences no setbacks while starting Sunday, he should resume duties as the Dodgers' everyday second baseman heading into the team's upcoming seven-game week.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

    Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Still sitting

Lux (neck) remains on the bench for Saturday's game against the Marlins, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Reports from Friday indicated that Lux could return Saturday if he felt good after swinging a bat, so he seemingly is still experiencing some soreness. Chris Taylor will again handle second base Saturday.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Steals base in return

Garcia went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's loss to the Reds.

Out since Aug. 12 due to a groin injury, Garcia hit second in his return to action and proved he was 100 percent healthy by stealing his second bag of the year. The 22-year-old is slashing .275/.292/.420 in 20 games since the All-Star break, and Garcia will spend the rest of the season getting comfortable at second base alongside his double-play partner for the foreseeable future, CJ Abrams.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | KC

Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Delivers with bases loaded

Rojas went 1-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Friday's 7-2 win over the White Sox.

Rojas figured prominently in Arizona's six-run second inning. With the bases loaded, he cleared them with a double, then scored on Emmanuel Rivera's two-run home run. Rojas is up to 42 RBI over 93 games, two shy of the career-high 44 he had in 139 contests last season.

  • Ha-seong Kim SS | ATL

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Knocks in five

Kim went 3-for-6 with a two-run single, a two-run double and a two-run home run in Friday's win over the Royals.

Kim had an incredible game Friday, just a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. Austin Nola, Jose Azocar and Jake Cronenworth benefitted from Kim's stellar night as they reached home thanks to Kim. The homer was Kim's seventh of the year and his first since July 29. Although the shortstop has been suffering from a lack of power until Friday's outing, he has gone 26-of-84 this month for a .310 batting average. He is now slashing .259/.334/.388 on the year.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Activated, starting Friday

Garcia (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list and is starting at second base Friday against the Reds, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Garcia has been sidelined the past couple weeks with a groin strain, but he's been cleared to rejoin the Nationals after a three-game rehab stint with Triple-A Rochester. The 22-year-old has a .289/.301/.417 slash line with four home runs and 25 RBI in 60 games this year, and he should work as Washington's primary second baseman down the stretch.
