Arraez (ankle) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Arraez made an appearance off the bench Friday but will be absent from the starting nine for the seventh consecutive game due to an ankle sprain. The Marlins have already secured their spot in the playoffs and are likely hoping the All-Star second baseman will be available for Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series on Tuesday.

Kim went 4-for-5 with a double, one run scored and two steals in Saturday's win over the White Sox.

Kim snapped an 0-for-17 skid in a big way Saturday, collecting three singles and a double while stealing third base twice. The 27-year-old breakout player has slowed down at the plate in September, hitting just .184 with three doubles, zero home runs, seven RBI, eight runs and nine steals across 99 plate appearances. Despite his relatively lethargic finish, the third-year infielder took a huge step forward in the 2023 campaign, posting a .262/.354/.401 season-long slash line and collecting 140 hits, 75 walks, 17 home runs, 84 runs and 38 stolen bases over 151 games (621 plate appearances) -- all career highs.

Edman went 2-for-5 with a walk, one stolen base and three runs scored in Saturday's 15-6 win over the Reds.

Edman has hit well to close out the campaign, posting five multi-hit efforts over his last eight games. The utility man has maintained a .246/.305/.398 slash line through 136 contests. He's added 13 home runs, 26 steals, 47 RBI, 68 runs scored, 25 doubles and four triples. Edman's bat has been a bit subpar, but his defensive versatility has helped him maintain steady playing time for the Cardinals.

Stott isn't in the Phillies' lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mets.

After an 0-for-4 performance in Game 1 of Saturday's action, Stott will ride the pine with lefty Jose Quintana on the mound for New York. Edmundo Sosa will instead start at the keystone and bat fifth.

Hoerner (knee) won't start Saturday's game against the Brewers but will be available off the bench, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Hoerner fouled a ball off his knee Friday, and while he avoided a fracture, he's evidently too sore to start Saturday's must-win contest. Christopher Morel will handle second base in Hoerner's absence.

Turang isn't in the Brewers' lineup Saturday against the Cubs.

Left-hander Jordan Wicks will be on the hill for the Cubs to begin Saturday's contest, meaning the left-handed bat of Turang will stay put in Milwaukee's dugout. Andruw Monasterio will fill in at the keystone and bat eighth.

Garcia went 2-for-5 with a double and a run in Friday's 10-6 win over Atlanta.

Since returning to the majors Sept. 8 after a five-week stint at Triple-A Rochester, Garcia has restored some faith that he might be the Nationals' long-term answer at second base. After going just 2-for-22 in his first eight games following his call-up, Garcia has caught fire at the plate and has climbed up the batting order accordingly. He's slashing .419/.457/.721 with seven extra-base hits over his last 12 games and has batted out of the No. 5 spot in five straight contests.

Alu went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 10-6 win over Atlanta.

The 26-year-old has been holding down a near-everyday role since the beginning of August, but despite playing regularly, he hasn't offered much fantasy utility outside of very deep mixed leagues or NL-only leagues. His home run Friday was just his second of the season, and Alu's contributions in other categories (.231 average, 16 RBI, 14 runs and five stolen bases in 49 games) haven't been enough to compensate for the lack of power.

Rodgers went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Friday against the Twins.

Rodgers led off the fifth inning with his fourth home run of the season, each of which has come in his last nine games. He's been limited to only 44 games after suffering a shoulder injury during spring training, though he's ultimately delivered a slash line remarkably similar to his 2022 campaign. Most importantly, Rodgers appears to be proving healthy before heading into the offseason.
