India (leg) will start at second base and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

India had to be scratched from Monday's lineup after being hit on the left leg by a ball during batting practice. He's fine, though, and will be in his usual leadoff spot as the Reds go up against right-hander Joe Ross.

McNeil went 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored in Monday's win over Atlanta.

Getting the start in left field and batting eighth, McNeil kept the line moving and was driven home twice by leadoff hitter Brandon Nimmo. McNeil has reached base in five straight games, a modest achievement but a good sign for the 32-year-old after his disappointing 2023. Through nine contests to begin the season, he's batting just .143 (4-for-28), but that comes with a 4:2 BB:K.

Albies went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored and three RBI in Monday's loss to the Mets.

He brought home the first two runs of the game in the third inning with a double before drawing a bases-loaded walk in the eighth. It's already the third three-RBI performance of the season for Albies, who's batting .289 (11-for-38) through nine games with two homers, one steal, nine runs and 10 RBI.

Triolo will start at second base and bat leadoff Tuesday versus the Tigers, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Triolo hadn't previously batted higher than sixth this season, but he's perched atop the batting order in this one against righty Casey Mize while Oneil Cruz gets a breather. The 26-year-old is hitting .275/.356/.375 in his first 10 games this season.

Garcia went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Giants.

The 23-year-old swiped his first bag of the year on the back end of a double steal with Trey Lipscomb in the second inning. Garcia came into the season with a very tenuous grip on the starting job at second base, but so far he's risen to the occasion, batting .321 (9-for-28) with five doubles, four RBI and three runs scored. He hasn't hit higher than eighth in the order, however, so even if he does begin to put things together in 2024, his fantasy ceiling is capped unless he can earn a better spot in the lineup.

Vargas went 1-for-2 with three walks, a double, a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win over the Giants.

Getting the start at shortstop with CJ Abrams (finger) sidelined, Vargas continued a hot start to the season that has seen him go 7-for-20 (.350) with three doubles, three RBI, three runs, a stolen base and an impressive 5:2 BB:K. The 32-year-old utility player has already seen action at four different positions this season -- four games at second base, three at shortstop, and one each at third base and left field -- and even once Abrams returns to the lineup, Vargas might see more playing time than expected as long as he's contributing at the plate.

Espinal started at second base and went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 10-8 win over Milwaukee.

Espinal was inserted to the starting lineup after Jonathan India (leg) was scratched. Cincinnati manager David Bell does not view India's injury as significant. Espinal has started three of the last four games, with all of those coming against left-handers.

Newman started at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 7-5 loss to the Rockies.

Newman started for a second consecutive game after holding down second base in Sunday's loss to Atlanta. Shortstop will be an amalgam of bodies while Geraldo Perdomo (knee) recovers from surgery to repair a torn right meniscus that is expected to keep him out of action for about a month. Blaze Alexander started at short Saturday and Jace Peterson the day prior. It's unclear if this will be a strict platoon moving forward; Arizona faces righty Cal Quantrill on Tuesday, which could favor the left-handed hitting Peterson.

Bogaerts went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Monday in a 9-8 victory versus the Cubs.

Bogaerts capped a seven-run sixth inning for San Diego with a two-run blast that brought the team to within a run. It was the first homer of the season for the second baseman, and it marked the first time he has knocked in any runs since the team's third game of the campaign. Bogaerts has been quiet to start the season, slashing a modest .250/.304/.327 with 10 runs and six RBI through 52 plate appearances.

Turang went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, four RBI and two runs scored in Monday's loss to the Reds.

Owned in fantasy mostly for his speed, Turang posted his first homer of the season Monday night, tagging a 397-foot blast off Graham Ashcraft in the fifth inning. He later added two additional RBI on a double in the next inning. Turang sports a .379/.424/.586 slash line in his 32 plate appearances while establishing himself as Milwaukee's starting second baseman.
