  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Reaches base five times in win

Marte went 2-for-2 with three walks, a home run, a stolen base, two total runs and two total RBI in a 5-0 victory against the Brewers on Saturday.

Marte reached base in each of his first four plate appearances, and then capped his performance with a two-run blast in the ninth inning. It was the second straight game with a home run for the second baseman, and he's reached base safely in nine of his last 10 plate appearances. With two RBI Saturday, Marte tied his career-best mark of 92 in a season, and he's already established a new high with 34 home runs on the campaign.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Idle against southpaw

Stott is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.

Stott will dodge a matchup with left-hander Sean Manaea on Saturday, giving way to Edmundo Sosa at the keystone. Stott is riding a five-game hit streak, though he's just 5-for-19 with a 30 percent strikeout rate during that stretch.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | NYY

Nationals' Luis Garcia: At DH Saturday

Garcia (wrist) will DH and bat third Saturday against the Cubs.

Garcia missed back-to-back games with soreness in his right wrist, but he'll return to the starting nine Saturday. Considering the pain is in his throwing arm, the Nationals could give Garcia a couple of days at DH before having him return to the field. Jose Tena is playing second base.

  • Reds' Jonathan India: Logs homer in win

India went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 8-3 win over the Pirates.

India went deep in the fourth inning, his 15th home run of the season and first in 14 games. He's hit safely in seven of the last nine contests, going 10-for-32 (.313) with five walks, four extra-base hits, five RBI and five runs scored during that stretch.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Sets new career high in homers

Marte went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Friday's 7-4 win over Milwaukee.

Marte homered in the first inning and drove in a run with a fifth-inning double. The home run was his 33rd, establishing a new career high for the second baseman, and he's up to 90 RBI.

  • Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Swipes bag in win

Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the White Sox.

Bogaerts has racked up three steals over his last five games, though this was his first multi-hit performance since Sept. 5. The 31-year-old has seen steady playing time at shortstop while Ha-Seong Kim (shoulder) is on the mend. Bogaerts is up to a .261/.305/.375 slash line with 10 home runs, 13 steals, 39 RBI and 47 runs scored through 104 contests this year.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Avoiding southpaw matchup

Lux is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Rockies, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

The lefty-hitting Lux will begin Friday's contest on the bench with southpaw Kyle Freeland taking the mound for the Rockies. Enrique Hernandez will start at second base and bat ninth.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Out of lineup against lefty

Stott is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Mets.

The left-handed-hitting Stott will receive a breather as the Mets send southpaw David Peterson to the bump. Edmundo Sosa will play second base and bat seventh as the Phillies try to even up the series.

  • Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU

Diamondbacks' Luis Guillorme: Jettisoned from 40-man roster

The Diamondbacks designated Guillorme for assignment Friday, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

The transaction was made in order to free up a spot on the active roster for the return of Lourdes Gurriel from the injured list. Guillorme played a decent amount while Ketel Marte was injured, but his role has been limited since Marte returned to action.

  • Cavan Biggio RF | HOU

Braves' Cavan Biggio: Sent to Triple-A

Atlanta optioned Biggio to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

The 29-year-old was added to Atlanta's big-league roster Sept. 11 shortly after being acquired from San Francisco, but he'll now head to Triple-A as Ozzie Albies (wrist) returns from the injured list. Biggio appeared in just four games during his brief time in the majors, and he has a .197/.314/.303 slash line in 78 games between the Dodgers, the Blue Jays and Atlanta this season.
