Nolan Gorman 2B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Absent from starting nine again
Gorman is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.
For the fifth time in six games, the lefty-hitting Gorman will head to the bench. Though his absence from the lineup against Mets lefty Sean Manaea isn't particularly surprising, the lefty-hitting Gorman looks to be at risk of losing out on starts against righties following the trade-deadline addition of Tommy Pham. With Pham picking up starts in the outfield in both of St. Louis' last two matchups with righties, Gorman was included in the lineup for one of those contests and ceded second base to Brendan Donovan in the other game.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa CF | BOS
Pirates' Isiah Kiner-Falefa: First hits with Pittsburgh
Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, two RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
Kiner-Falefa made his team debut Saturday and went hitless, though he turned things around as a key contributor out of the leadoff spot Sunday. He replaced Andrew McCutchen (quadriceps) atop the order, though Kiner-Falefa looks more likely to settle into the middle of the order as he hit sixth in his team debut and McCutchen does not look likely to miss extended time.

Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Goes deep Sunday
Stott went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Mariners.
Stott led off the eighth with a solo home run off of Yimi Garcia in what ignited a five-run inning for the Phillies. The long ball was his third over the last month and he's only managed three RBI over his last 15 starts dating back to July 11. Stott is now slashing .241/.321/.365 with eight homers, 44 RBI, 49 runs, 23 steals and a 41:64 BB:K in 399 plate appearances.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Swipes bag in Sunday's win
Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a steal and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Rockies.
Bogaerts was one of four Padres with multiple hits on the afternoon, though neither of his hits went for extra bases. He did manage to steal a bag in the seventh for his sixth stolen base of the year. Bogaerts has remained scorching hot at the plate since returning to the lineup from a fractured left shoulder July 12. In 16 games he's played since then, he's gone hitless only twice and has posted 10 multi-hit efforts. He's slashed .438/.456/.578 with a homer, seven RBI, 10 runs, two steals and a 2:7 BB:K over that span.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Keeps raking
Marte went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and an RBI groundout during Sunday's 6-5 win over Pittsburgh.
Marte delivered a solo homer off Jake Woodford in the ninth inning, giving the Diamondbacks a much-needed insurance run. The second baseman has been on fire the last few weeks, going 29-for-74 (.392) with 10 homers, 26 RBI and 17 runs in his last 20 games. He's up to 27 home runs on the year, five shy of his career-best tally.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Stays hot
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 4-3 win over the Brewers.
Garcia launched a solo home run off Tobias Myers in the first inning, giving the second baseman his second homer in as many nights. Garcia finished the three-game series against Milwaukee 8-for-12 with two home runs, five runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. He has a .783 OPS in 369 plate appearances this season.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Set to play field soon
Manager Dave Roberts said that Edman (wrist) will play in a simulated game Thursday at Dodger Stadium before resuming his minor-league rehab assignment, MLB.com reports.
Before the Dodgers acquired him Monday, Edman had two separate rehab stints with the Cardinals while working his way back from offseason right wrist surgery. He played in four games from July 9 through 14 at Double-A Springfield before being pulled off the assignment due to a sprained ankle, but he was cleared to resume game action with Springfield on July 24. He had served exclusively as a designated hitter for Springfield in his four games with the club before being traded to the Dodgers, but Roberts said that Edman will begin playing the field during his minor-league assignment if he checks out fine following Thursday's simulated game. Before the Dodgers activate Edman from the 60-day injured list, he'll likely need several games in the minors to regain his timing at the plate and get his feet wet at multiple positions. He's projected to serve as a super-utility player when the Dodgers are at full strength, though Edman could find a regular home at third base initially while Max Muncy's (oblique) return from the IL looks to be further away.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: On bench Sunday
Rodgers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
Rodgers started the previous 22 games and will receive Sunday off after going 7-for-20 with three doubles and a home run in his past five contests. Aaron Schunk will start at the keystone and bat ninth in the series finale at San Diego.

Jared Triolo 3B | PIT
Pirates' Jared Triolo: LIkely heading back to utility role
Triolo will start at third base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Triolo will stay in the Pittsburgh lineup for the sixth time in seven games, but he'll likely occupy a utility role for the club moving forward after Isiah Kiner-Falefa (knee) returned from the injured list Saturday to make his Pirates debut. Kiner-Falefa is expected to serve as the Pirates' primary option at second base, where Triolo had previously made five consecutive starts before hitting the bench Saturday. Triolo will be back in the starting nine Sunday as the Pirates give regular third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes a breather.

Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM
Marlins' Vidal Brujan: Sitting for third time in four games
Brujan is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
On the bench for the third time in four games, Brujan looks to have moved into a utility role after he had previously handled a near-everyday role for most of July. Brujan's downturn in playing time comes while he's gone 2-for-16 with a 3:3 BB:K over his last seven contests.
