Amador went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and two runs scored Wednesday against the Orioles.

Amador drew his second consecutive start since being recalled to the majors Tuesday when rosters expanded, with one coming at second base and another at DH. He has taken advantage of the opportunity, going 4-for-8 with three runs scored, a double and a home run.

Ramirez (back) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Ramirez has not played since Sunday as he battles back spasms, though there's been no indication thus far that he might require time on the injured list. Matt Shaw is again handling second base for the Cubs.

Castro is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Orioles.

It's unclear whether Castro is banged up, but this will be his second straight day on the bench after he had started the previous 11 contests. Connor Norby is handling third base for the Rockies.

Marte is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Phillies.

Marte started the first two games of the series after returning from the injured list Monday, but he'll exit the lineup for Wednesday's matinee. Ildemaro Vargas will cover second base for the Diamondbacks.

Wetherholt was given a cortisone injection Tuesday to combat tendinitis in his right wrist, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Wetherholt will rest for 72 hours to wait for the shot to take effect, and after that he will aim to re-incorporate baseball activities. The rookie infielder is with the Cardinals on their road trip and is eligible for activation from the 10-day injured list on the final day of that trip Sept. 9. Wetherholt could be activated on that date, but it will depend on how his wrist responds.

Lowe went 4-for-6 with a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Tuesday's wild 13-12 win over the Giants.

In a contest that saw Pittsburgh score nine runs in the third inning without getting an extra-base hit before walking it off in the ninth on a throwing error, Lowe supplied one of the few actual offensive highlights when he took Cesar Perdomo deep in the seventh inning. The four hits tied Lowe's career high, while the long ball was his 29th of the season, leaving him on the brink of his third career 30-homer campaign. Over his last 10 games, the veteran second baseman has produced a .306/.419/.611 slash line with two doubles, three home runs, four RBI and 10 runs.

The Giants signed Baker to a minor-league contract Tuesday.

Baker has been injured for much of this season and got released from his minor-league deal with the White Sox in late July after posting a .584 OPS in 11 games with Triple-A Charlotte. The 27-year-old is merely organizational depth for the Giants.

Edman went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 13-8 loss to the Cardinals.

Edman had gone just 2-for-16 over his previous four games. The utility man was able to deliver a decent performance Tuesday in the high-scoring loss. Edman is batting .268 with a .748 OPS, five home runs, 28 RBI, 31 runs scored, nine doubles, two triples and five stolen bases over 61 contests.

Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during Tuesday's 9-5 loss to Washington.

Albies opened Tuesday's scoring with a solo homer off Jake Irvin in the second inning. It was Albies' first homer since Aug. 11 and 21st of the year, which is fourth-most on Atlanta behind Matt Olson (37), Michael Harris (24) and Drake Baldwin (22). Albies has a .725 OPS with three steals, 44 extra-base hits and 68 RBI over 592 plate appearances this season.

Cronenworth is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.

Cronenworth started all 28 games in August for the Friars and will receive a day off after posting a .232/.295/.313 slash line during that span. Fernando Tatis is shifting to the keystone Tuesday, which opens up right field for Jase Bowen.
