Adael Amador 2B | COL
Rockies' Adael Amador: Recalled, starting Wednesday
The Rockies recalled Amador from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday.
Amador will join the 26-man active roster as a replacement for Thairo Estrada (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list. The Rockies will throw Amador into the lineup for Wednesday's series finale versus the Blue Jays, as he'll take over Estrada's usual spot at second base, per Thomas Harding of MLB.com. The 22-year-old could see regular reps at the keystone while Estrada is out, but Amador has managed just a .180/.253/.256 batting line over 148 career plate appearances at the major-league level.

Thairo Estrada 2B | COL
Rockies' Thairo Estrada: Shut down with hamstring strain
The Rockies placed Estrada on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to a right hamstring strain.
Estrada will head to the IL for the third time this season, after he was previously shut down due to a fractured right wrist and a sprained right thumb. The infielder suffered his latest injury while running out a grounder in Tuesday's 10-4 loss to the Blue Jays and was spotted using crutches to move about the clubhouse after the game, per MLB.com. Colorado recalled Adael Amador from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move, and he'll replace Estrada in the starting nine at second base in Wednesday's series finale with Toronto, according to Thomas Harding of MLB.com.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Three hits in Tuesday's loss
Garcia went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI in Tuesday's loss to the A's.
The second baseman stayed hot and helped fuel a seven-run outburst by the Nats' offense, although that paled in comparison to the 16 runs surrendered by the pitching staff. Over 15 games since the All-Star break, Garcia is slashing .298/.328/.439 with two doubles, two homers, one steal, seven RBI and eight runs.

Christian Koss 2B | SF
Giants' Christian Koss: Notches third homer in win
Koss went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Pirates.
Koss drew the start at second base for the first time since being reinstated from the injured list Friday. He launched a two-run homer in the third inning, giving the Giants a 2-0 lead. The 27-year-old infielder now has three home runs on the season and is slashing .262/.300/.379 with 14 RBI, 13 runs scored and two stolen bases across 113 plate appearances.

Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting again versus lefty
Stott is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The left-handed-hitting Stott will hit the bench for the third time in five games, with all of his absences coming against southpaws. Edmundo Sosa will step in for Stott at the keystone while the Orioles send lefty Trevor Rogers to the hill.

Brice Turang 2B | MIL
Brewers' Brice Turang: Pilfers bag No. 20
Turang went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-2 win over Atlanta.
The steal was his 20th of 2025, a mark he's reached in three straight seasons. Turang's activity on the basepaths has taken a big step back from last year, when he went 50-for-56 in stolen base attempts, but his overall production has improved. Through 108 games, he's slashing .276/.341/.383 -- career highs in all three categories -- with eight homers, 50 RBI and 65 runs.

Nolan Gorman 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Launches 10th homer
Gorman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 12-6 loss to the Dodgers.
Gorman's blast in the second inning tied the game at 2-2. He's hit safely in all four of his games since returning from a back injury that landed him on the injured list for a brief stay. He's up to 10 homers on the year while slashing .227/.311/.417 across 70 contests. Despite the middling power production, the infielder is trending in the right direction and has a clear path to playing time while Nolan Arenado (shoulder) is out.

Thairo Estrada 2B | COL
Rockies' Thairo Estrada: Exits early Tuesday
Estrada was pulled from Tuesday's game versus Toronto with an apparent injury, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Estrada awkwardly stepped on first base while trying to beat out a double play in the sixth inning, and he appeared to be grabbing at his right hamstring as he went down. With Orlando Arcia (undisclosed) also exiting with an injury Tuesday and Ryan Ritter (finger) already on the injured list, the Rockies may need to turn to their minor-league depth for infield help if Estrada's injury forces him to miss any amount of time.

Javier Sanoja 3B | MIA
Marlins' Javier Sanoja: Power surge continues
Sanoja went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Astros.
The 22-year-old utility player began the night on the bench, but Sanoja wound up supplying the Marlins with their first run when he pinch hit for Jakob Marsee in the seventh inning and took Bryan King deep. It was Sanoja's fourth homer of the season, and three of them have come in his last two games. Over 10 contests since the All-Star break, he's batting .385 (10-for-26) with six of his hits going for extra bases, a surge that could earn him more playing time all over the diamond -- he's made at least one appearance at every position except catcher and right field in 2025.
