Manager Kevin Cash is unsure if Lowe (lower leg) will be ready to play by the weekend, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lowe initially hoped to be back after the 10-day minimum, but he failed to meet that goal and could miss Tampa Bay's entire weekend series with the White Sox. His availability for the weekend should become more clear later in the coming days.

Biggio isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

Biggio has collected a base knock in three of his last four contests, though he's batting just .220 in the month of July (11 games). He'll get the day off, allowing for Eric Sogard to draw a start at the keystone and lead off.

Chavis went 1-for-3 with two walks and a grand slam in Monday's 10-8 win over the Blue Jays.

His first-inning blast got the offensive fireworks started on the night. Chavis is now slashing .259/.330/.465 with an impressive 16 homers and 52 RBI in his first 73 big-league games.

Altuve went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and three runs in a 12-4 victory against the Rangers on Sunday.

The 29-year-old started the four-game set against the Rangers 1-for-9, but in the last two games, he was 7-for-11 (.636) with five RBI and six runs. Altuve has really been hitting well over the last 10 games, posting five multi-hit contests during that stretch. He is batting .274 with 12 home runs, 31 RBI, 37 runs and two steals in 234 at-bats this season.

Castro went 4-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI in Sunday's 12-8 win over the Royals.

Batting second, Castro found himself in a great spot to produce in a game that featured 19 Detroit hits. The versatile 25-year-old has earned regular playing time for the Tigers, and his bat should keep him in the lineup for the foreseeable future, as he's slashing .315/.333/.432 this season in 111 at-bats.

Beckham will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Regular shortstop Jordy Mercer is getting a breather, allowing Beckham to enter the lineup. The 32-year-old hasn't done much with the bat this year, as he's slashing just .216/.292/.388 with seven RBI in 50 games.

Altuve went 4-for-6 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs in Saturday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Rangers.

Altuve doubled in George Springer in the 11th inning, then scored on a Myles Straw single, giving the Astros the cushion needed to win. With the four hits, Altuve added 10 points to his average and is now batting .266.

Rengifo went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Mariners.

The second baseman did a good job of keeping the line moving from the nine-hole in this contest. Rengifo came around to score on a David Fletcher triple in the third inning after leading off the inning with a double. The 22-year-old has appeared in eight games in July, going 9-for-22 with two doubles and three runs scored. Overall, he's hitting .271 with 24 runs scored and 19 RBI in 54 games this season, and he should see regular playing time with Tommy La Stella (leg) out.

Barreto went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk during a 13-2 victory over the White Sox on Saturday.

The second baseman capped off a seven-run first inning with the home run out of the nine spot in the lineup. Barreto has two home runs in eight MLB games this season, but he's also batting just .115. He has four RBI, four runs and a steal over 26 at-bats this season.

Arroyo (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Arroyo has been out with an elbow injury since mid-June and is now set to miss at least another month. The move makes room on the 40-man roster for Peter Fairbanks, acquired in a trade from Texas in a corresponding move.
