Donovan isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros due to an illness, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

After going 2-for-11 with a solo homer during Seattle's last series against the Rangers, Donovan will now take some time off to recover from his illness. Leo Rivas will start at third base and bat ninth Friday and is likely to continue to start at the hot corner until Donovan returns.

The Athletics recalled Gelof from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

He's taking the roster spot of the injured Brent Rooker (oblique). Gelof was slashing a blistering .366/.519/.732 with four home runs, three steals and a 13:7 BB:K at hitter-friendly Las Vegas. While those numbers are encouraging, Gelof's .205/.264/.348 line with a 36.1 percent strikeout rate since 2024 with the A's is not. He could see some action at designated hitter and/or second base while Rooker is out.

India is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest versus the White Sox.

India had made six consecutive starts but will get a breather in Friday's series opener. The Royals are going with Michael Massey at second base and in the No. 6 spot in the lineup.

Chisholm is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Athletics.

The Athletics are sending lefty Jeffrey Springs to the bump, allowing for the left-handed-hitting Chisholm to get his first day off of the season. Amed Rosario will cover second base and bat leadoff for the Yankees.

Keaschall is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers.

It's the first day off this season for Keaschall, who has reached base five times and driven in four runs in the first three games of the series. Kody Clemens will get the start at second base and slot into the No. 6 spot in the lineup as the Twins go for the sweep.

Keaschall went 1-for-5 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Tigers.

Keaschall has plated at least one run in three straight games, going 3-for-12 over the first three contests of this week's series against the Tigers. The second baseman is hitting just .208 with a .556 OPS through 53 plate appearances over 12 games this season. He's added two steals, one home run, seven RBI, six runs scored and two doubles. Keaschall hit .302 with an .827 OPS over 49 games across two big-league stints in 2025, so there's some clear potential for him to turn things around. He may still need to adjust to major-league pitching a bit, which will make it tough for him to replicate his ratios from last year, but he has good bat-to-ball skills.

Torres went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Twins.

Torres tallied his second two-hit effort of the season as he put together a strong fantasy performance. The veteran infielder is batting only .227, but he has a strong .393 on-base percentage due to his good eye at the plate. Torres has a 21.4 percent walk rate so far this year, which would easily represent a career high. His ability to get on base gives him plenty of run-scoring potential moving forward.

Caballero is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Athletics.

Caballero started each of the first 10 games this season at shortstop, but he'll get some rest Wednesday. Ryan McMahon is making his first-ever professional start at shortstop, while Amed Rosario will handle third base for the Yankees.

Schneemann is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

With the Royals sending a second consecutive lefty starter (Cole Ragans) to the hill, the left-handed-hitting Schneemann will remain out of the lineup for another day. Schneemann could still have a clear path to making regular starts in the middle infield against right-handed pitching following Gabriel Arias' (hamstring) recent placement on the injured list.

Donovan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk during the Mariners' 3-2 loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.

Donovan wasted no time getting the Mariners on the board, taking the first pitch of the game from Nathan Eovaldi deep to right field for a solo shot. It was Donovan's third home run of the season, and he appears to be past the groin injury that caused him to miss the Mariners' final two games of the weekend series against the Angels. He has gone 12-for-35 (.343) with a steal and five RBI to open the season.
