Andrus is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Andrus has sat against the past two right-handed pitchers Oakland has faced, and he'll do so again Tuesday with Shohei Ohtani on the mound for the Halos. Nick Allen will move to shortstop with Vimael Machin at third base and Jonah Bride at second.

Arraez is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Arraez produced three hits in each of the past two contests and totaled three doubles, two RBI, two runs and a stolen base, but he'll take a seat Tuesday with lefty Julio Urias on the mound for Los Angeles. Jose Miranda will shift to first base while Byron Buxton rests his legs as the designated hitter.

Manager Alex Cora said Hernandez (hip) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Wednesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Cora didn't specify which affiliate Hernandez will be joining, but because he's been sidelined since June 7 with a strained right hip flexor, he'll most likely stay on the rehab assignment through the weekend as he looks to regain his timing at the plate. Hernandez previously made a rehab appearance July 8, only to be pulled off the assignment at Triple-A Worcester after experiencing a setback. He appears to have responded well to the platelet-rich plasma injection he received shortly before the All-Star break. Once he's activated, Hernandez will likely supplant Jarren Duran as the Red Sox's everyday center fielder.

Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 1-0 win over Oakland.

There was very little offense in the contest, as the teams combined for seven hits and one run. The only extra-base hit was Rengifo's first-inning, 434-foot solo homer, which stood up as the decisive run. Though the long ball was only his second in 32 games since the start of July, the infielder has been productive over that span, slashing .317/.348/.452 with nine doubles, 10 runs, 13 RBI and four stolen bases.

Biggio went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Orioles.

Getting the start at second base and batting ninth, the 27-year-old launched his first homer since late June and only his third of the season in 198 plate appearances. Biggio is getting more consistent playing time while George Springer (elbow) is on the shelf and Whit Merrifield is needed in center field, and he's responded by going 4-for-13 (.308) with a double and a home run over the last five games.

Arauz (finger) said Monday that he expects to be sidelined at least another two weeks prior to beginning a rehab assignment, Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Arauz haș been unavailable since late July due to a fractured finger, but he reiterated Monday that he doesn't expect to require surgery. He hopes he'll be able to swing a bat and throw this week, but it seems unlikely that he'll be cleared to rejoin the Orioles until sometime in late August.

Espinal is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Baltimore.

Espinal will sit out for the third time in five games while he continues to work in a timeshare at the keystone with Cavan Biggio, who is batting ninth Monday. The two may continue to split work at the position until George Springer (elbow) is activated from the 10-day injured list, at which point Whit Merrifield -- who is filling in as the Jays' primary center fielder -- will likely move back to second base.

Haggerty went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in a win over the Angels on Sunday.

Haggerty gave the Mariners some more breathing room with his fifth-inning two-bagger, which brought home Eugenio Suarez. The 28-year-old's bat is sizzling over the last six games, a span during which he's hitting .438 (7-for-16) with two doubles, a home run, two RBI and an additional run.

Gimenez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Astros.

Offense was at a premium in this contest, though the Guardians found more of it than the Astros. Gimenez singled and stole second in the eighth inning with Cleveland looking to pad its lead, but he was left aboard when Owen Miller flied out to end the frame. The steal was Gimenez's first since he ran wild for three steals versus Arizona last Monday. For the season, the second baseman is slashing .299/.364/.481 with 12 home runs, 12 steals, 50 RBI and 42 runs scored through 98 contests.

Massey went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 13-5 win over the Red Sox.

The bottom third of the Royals' lineup combined to go 6-for-9 with nine runs scored and two walks. Massey's biggest contribution was a two-run single to spark the Royals' six-run rally in the eighth inning that turned the game into a laugher. The double was his first extra-base hit in the majors, and he's slashing .348/.375/.391 with a stolen base through his first 24 plate appearances.
