Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Out of Saturday's lineup
Chisholm isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.
Although Chisholm doesn't typically step out of the lineup against southpaws, the Yankees will keep him and his left-handed bat on the bench Saturday against fellow lefty Framber Valdez. Jose Caballero will fill in at the keystone and bat eighth.

Cole Young SS | SEA
Mariners' Cole Young: Receiving afternoon off
Young is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox.
The Mariners will give Cal Raleigh a day off from catching but are keeping his bat in the lineup at designated hitter, so Jorge Polanco will give up his usual DH duties but stay in the starting nine himself by taking over for Young at second base. Young had started in each of Seattle's last six games, going 6-for-17 with a home run, a stolen base, four walks, four RBI and four runs to improve his season-long slash line to .252/.326/.352 over 179 plate appearances.

Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Athletics' Luis Urias: Back in action Thursday
Urias (back) will start at second base and bat eighth in Thursday's game versus the Nationals.
Urias missed the last two games while dealing with a back issue, but he feels well enough to give it a go in Thursday's series finale. The veteran infielder will bring a .677 OPS into play Thursday.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Royals' Jonathan India: Homers from No. 7 lineup spot
India went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run an and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 7-3 win over Boston.
India dropped down to the No. 7 spot in Kansas City's lineup to make way for the lefty-hitting Mike Yastrzemski in the leadoff spot, and the former responded by going deep for the sixth time this year. It's unclear if the move will stick against right-handed pitching going forward -- the Royals faced righty Dustin May on Wednesday -- but it's initially not the most encouraging sign for India's rest-of-season fantasy outlook. Since the start of June, India is also slashing a pedestrian .237/.318/.382 with five homers, 15 doubles, 22 RBI and zero stolen bases covering 234 plate appearances.

Max Schuemann 2B | NYY
Athletics' Max Schuemann: Getting fourth straight start
Schuemann will start at second base and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
With Luis Urias (back) sitting out the series finale, Schuemann will stay in the lineup for the fourth game in a row and will make his second straight start at the keystone. Assuming Urias is able to recover from the back issue in short order, he'll likely be part of a three-man committee with Schuemann and Gio Urshela to fill out the second-base and third-base spots until Max Muncy (hand) returns from the injured list.

Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Athletics' Luis Urias: Out again Wednesday
Urias (back) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Nationals.
Urias hasn't played since exited Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Diamondbacks with lower-back spasms and is considered day-to-day. Max Schuemann will get another start at second base in Urias' stead.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: Late addition to lineup
Julien will start at first base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Tigers.
The left-handed-hitting Julien had been slated to sit for the second day in a row against a right-handed starter (Jack Flaherty), but Julien will end up moving back into the starting nine after Trevor Larnach (shoulder) was scratched. Kody Clemens will head to the outfield to fill in for Larnach while Julien covers Clemens' usual post at first base.
-
Daniel Schneemann 2B | CLE
Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Idle against southpaw
Schneemann is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
Schneemann and fellow left-handed hitters Kyle Manzardo, Bo Naylor and Nolan Jones will head to the bench for the second time in the series while the Mets send southpaw David Peterson to the hill for the finale. With Schneemann out of the lineup, Angel Martinez and C.J. Kayfus will pick up starts in the outfield alongside left fielder Steven Kwan.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: Losing work to Keaschall
Julien is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Detroit.
After getting recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Julien started at second base in four straight games and went 2-for-12 with a double and a walk during that stretch. However, with the Twins bringing Luke Keaschall back from the injured list Tuesday, the left-handed-hitting Julien appears to have since faded into a reserve role. Julien will cede second base to Keaschall for a second straight day to close out the series with the Tigers, who have sent right-handed starters to the hill for both of those contests.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Returns to Detroit lineup
Torres (forearm) will start at second base and bat second in Wednesday's game versus the Twins.
Torres was a late scratch from the lineup ahead of Tuesday's 6-3 loss as he battled some tightness in his left forearm, but he's been cleared to play in Wednesday's series finale. The second baseman enters play Wednesday with two home runs in his first four games this month.
