  • Edouard Julien 2B | COL

Twins' Edouard Julien: Late add to lineup

Julien will bat eighth and play first base Friday against Detroit.

Julien wasn't part of the initial starting lineup, but Alan Roden has been scratched, opening up a spot for Julien. Since being recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Aug. 1, Julien is slashing .200/.259/.360 with a 29.6 percent K rate.

  • Luke Keaschall 2B | MIN

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Picks up sixth steal

Keaschall went 1-for-5 with one RBI and one stolen base in Thursday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Tigers.

Keaschall had four multi-hit efforts in five games after returning from a fractured forearm Aug. 5, but he's since slowed down. He has gone just 2-for-17 over his last four contests, and his steal Thursday was his first since before the injury. Overall, the top prospect has been fairly steady over a small sample, batting .328 with two home runs, six steals, 14 RBI, seven runs scored and six doubles across 16 games this season. He should continue to play on a near-everyday basis, primarily at second base.

Twins' Edouard Julien: Goes deep Thursday

Julien went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Tigers.

Julien has gone just 5-for-25 (.200) with a 2:8 BB:K over 10 games since rejoining the big-league roster following the trade deadline. This was his first multi-hit effort in that span, which has seen him fill a part-time role. He's seeing most of his time at first base but is sharing the position with Kody Clemens and Mickey Gasper. Julien will need to show more consistency to claim a larger share of playing time. On the year, he has a poor .198/.282/.328 slash line with three homers, nine RBI, nine runs scored and no stolen bases over 131 plate appearances.

  • Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Absent from lineup

Schneemann isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Marlins.

An 0-for-4 performance Wednesday prevented Schneemann from extending his hitting streak to five games, and he'll now grab a seat on the bench while Steven Kwan, Angel Martinez and C.J. Kayfus start in the outfield for Cleveland.

  • Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR

Blue Jays' Andres Gimenez: Out versus left-hander

Gimenez is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Cubs.

Gimenez started in the first two games of the series upon his return from the injured list, but the left-handed hitter will take a seat Thursday as the Cubs send southpaw Matthew Boyd to the bump. Ernie Clement will step in at second base for the Blue Jays.

  • Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Power surge in August

Lowe went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Wednesday against the Athletics.

Lowe blasted a two-run home run in the second inning, his 24th of the season. That's his highest mark since the 2021 campaign. Lowe has been on quite the power surge lately, delivering five homers in his last eight starts.

  • Angels' Christian Moore: Losing work to Rengifo

Moore isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Now set to sit on the bench for the fourth time in the Angels' last five games, it seems Moore has fallen out of favor for the starting gig at second base in Anaheim. Luis Rengifo will get another nod at the keystone Wednesday while batting seventh for the Halos.

  • Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY

Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Continues steals surge

Chisholm went 2-for-3 with a triple, two walks, two runs and two stolen bases Tuesday in a 9-1 victory versus the Twins.

Since July 30, Chisholm has stolen multiple bags in a contest three times, and seven of his 17 total thefts have come during that 12-game span. The speedy infielder is batting just .227 during the stretch, but he's added two homers while scoring eight times. Though Chisholm's overall .242 batting average is on pace to be the lowest regular-season mark of his career, his .811 OPS is tracking to be his second-highest career mark, as he's swatted 20 homers and is taking free passes more frequently than ever (11.4 percent walk rate).

  • Royals' Jonathan India: Homers in win

India went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Nationals.

India padded the Royals' lead with a two-run blast in the sixth inning to put them up 7-2. India has five RBI in August, which has all come from his two home runs. He's had a prolonged slump at the plate, slashing .169/.281/.338 with three homers, 14 RBI and 12 runs scored in 21 games since July 18.

  • Angels' Christian Moore: Sitting down Tuesday

Moore isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Jack Janes of TheSportingTribune.com reports.

Moore will sit down for the third time in four games Tuesday after going 3-for-20 with three runs scored since his return from the injured list. Luis Rengifo will pick up another start at second base and bat seventh.
