France is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

France has started all 63 games this season and will receive his first day off in Thursday's series opener against the Angels. Dylan Moore will take over at first base in France's place.

Arias (hand) was sent to the Guardians' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate Thursday to begin a rehab assignment.

Approximately six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair his fractured right hand, Arias is ready for game action. Due to the lengthy layoff, Arias could stick around in the ACL for several games as he attempts to regain his timing at the plate. Prior to suffering the hand injury and landing on Triple-A Columbus' 7-day injured list, the 22-year-old was hitting .197 over 78 plate appearances with the Guardians' top affiliate.

The Mariners claimed Ellis off waivers from the Diamondbacks on Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Tacoma.

Seattle cleared room on the 40-man roster for Ellis by transferring outfielder Mitch Haniger (ankle) from the 10-day to the 60-day injured list. Ellis saw action in six games at the big-league level with Arizona but has spent the majority of the campaign at Triple-A Reno, with whom he produced a .217/.369/.399 batting line over 179 plate appearances.

White (hip) resumed his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in a win over Sacramento.

White had been out of game action since May 31 after suffering a reaggravation in his hip/groin area, so the infielder's return seemingly indicates he's back to full health. The 26-year-old's rehab assignment doesn't have a firm timetable for conclusion as of yet, and White could remain with the Rainiers even after activation.

Casas (ankle) has been able to run but only with the help of an anti-gravity treadmill, Katie Morrison of The Springfield Republican reports.

Casas has been out for nearly a month with a sprained right ankle. The fact that he's at least making some progress is significant, but he's yet to even work out while putting his full weight on the injured leg, so he still has plenty of work to do before being activated from the minor-league injured list. Once he's healthy, it will likely still be a bit more time before the Red Sox decide to promote him for his big-league debut, as his .248/.359/.457 slash line in 36 games for Triple-A Worcester prior to the injury was good but not dominant.

Diaz went 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored Wednesday against the Yankees.

Diaz led off the sixth inning with a ground-rule double and came around to score on a double by Manuel Margot. Diaz had gone nine games game without an extra-base hit prior to Wednesday's effort, though he still managed to reach base at a .353 clip in that span. That stretch has exemplified his production this season, as he has a .398 on-base percentage but is slugging just .354 across 216 plate appearances.

Abreu went 4-for-5 with a walk, two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored Wednesday against the Tigers.

A significant amount of Abreu's production came with position players on the mound, though he did manage two RBI knocks earlier in the game. The effort also extended Abreu's hitting streak to six contests, during which he's hit .423 with six runs scored and seven RBI. After a slow start, Abreu has an .827 OPS for the season -- in line with his marks from both the 2019 and 2021 campaigns.

Cronenworth went 3-for-6 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI in the Padres' 19-5 win over the Cubs on Wednesday.

Cronenworth has been a terror for the Cubs in the first three games of the series in Chicago, recording exactly three hits in each contest. He entered the series maintaining a .221 batting average for the season, but his 9-for-14 start to the week has lifted that mark to .245. Cronenworth will be in the lineup again for Thursday's series finale, batting second and manning the keystone, according to Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Cron went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored Wednesday against the Guardians.

Cron doubled in the third inning and came around to score to extend his hitting streak to seven games. He hasn't homered in that stretch but has maintained a .310 average with two RBI and four runs scored. Cron has gone yard 14 times to go along with 43 RBI and 36 runs scored while hitting .289 across 268 plate appearances on the season.

Gurriel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday against the Rangers.

Gurriel took Kolby Allard yard in the eighth inning to record his fourth homer of the season. He has one hit in six of his last seven starts, but more importantly, he has five extra-base knocks in that span. That has increased Gurriel's ISO to .147 on the campaign, in line with his mark from the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
