Rays' Luke Raley: On bench Wednesday
Raley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Though he's delivered four two-hit games over his last six starts, Raley will get a chance to rest up in the series finale with Baltimore. Harold Ramirez will step in for Raley as the Rays' designated hitter.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Breaking out of slump
Vaughn went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Rangers.
Vaughn has had a quiet month of June, going hitless in eight of 17 games while hitting just .190 across 58 at-bats. He's shown signs of improvement across his last two contests, however, as he slugged his 10th home run of the season Monday and collected an RBI for the second consecutive game Tuesday. Vaughn has a nearly identical line to his 2022 season by maintaining a .430 slugging percentage and .754 OPS across 306 plate appearances.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Launches sixth homer
O'Hearn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-6 victory over the Rays.
O'Hearn's been on quite a run while filling in for Ryan Mountcastle (illness). The 29-year-old first baseman has hits in eight straight games, going 14-for-28 with three homers and 1.426 OPS in that span. O'Hearn is now slashing an impressive .345/.383/.632 with six homers, 20 RBI and 16 runs scored through 94 plate appearances. While his .407 BABIP indicates he's due for some regression, O'Hearn has certainly made a case for a role in Baltimore, even when Mountcastle returns.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Three hits in win
Rizzo went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Mariners.
Rizzo notched just his second multi-hit game since May 26 and picked up just his second and third extra-base hits since May 23. The 33-year-old has been going through a miserable slump at the plate and had just four hits in 13 games during June before Tuesday's three-hit effort. He has five RBI over his last four games but is still homerless since May 20. Rizzo is now slashing .270/.345/.441 with 11 homers, 37 RBI, 34 runs and a 21:64 BB:K over 287 plate appearances.

Dustin Harris 1B | HOU
Rangers' Dustin Harris: Promoted to Triple-A
Harris was promoted to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Harris had a slow April for Double-A Frisco but had an .827 OPS with 11 steals over the last month for the RoughRiders. He went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and two additional runs scored in his first game with the Express.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Dealing with side tightness
Wade was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Padres due to right side tightness, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Wade is slashing a very impressive .308/.431/.519 during the month of June, but side problems will cause him to miss Tuesday's game. The Giants will take a closer look at Wade to determine the severity of his injury, but he should be considered day-to-day for now.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Scratched from lineup
Wade was scratched from the Giants' lineup ahead of Tuesday's game versus San Diego, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
It's unclear at the moment why Wade was taken out of Tuesday's lineup, but the Giants will likely offer an explanation relatively soon. In the meantime, David Villar will enter to play first base in Wade's place.

Kevin Padlo 1B | LAD
Angels' Kevin Padlo: Draws start at first base
Padlo is starting at first base and batting sixth Tuesday versus the Dodgers.
Padlo will draw his first start after being called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday. The right-hander will replace lefty Jared Walsh in the lineup as the Angels square off with southpaw Clayton Kershaw. Padlo has produced a .273 average with seven homers, 24 RBI, 23 runs scored and six stolen bases over 110 at-bats in 32 contests with Salt Lake in 2023.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Set for rehab assignment
Mountcastle (illness) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Norfolk, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Mountcastle is symptom-free following a bout of vertigo and could be ready to return to the Orioles' active roster by the end of the week. Baltimore might opt to ease him back into action, though, with Ryan O'Hearn showing so well at first base. Mountcastle has slashed just .227/.264/.422 through 60 major-league games this year but he's managed to tally 11 home runs and 39 RBI.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Drops to fifth
Lowe batted fifth and went 1-for-3 with two walks in Monday's 5-2 win over the White Sox.
Texas manager Bruce Bochy tweaked the lineup Monday, swapping Lowe and Josh Jung in the order. The manager told Kennedi Landry of MLB.com that he wanted to break up two consecutive lefties -- Corey Seager in the two hole with Lowe behind him -- when facing a southpaw. The move worked out well Monday against Chicago's Tanner Banks. Bochy said he'll consider using the same lineup against southpaws going forward, while the lineup against righties will remain intact. That sounds like it was just an experiment Monday and not yet a permanent shift.
