Hoskins went 3-for-5 in Thursday's win over the Pirates with a double, two RBI and a stolen base.

Hoskins singled home William Contreras in his second at-bat to tie the game at 3-3 and later added an RBI double to give Milwaukee a one-run lead. The first baseman has recorded at least one RBI in four of his last six games, while Thursday marked his second three-hit effort of the season. With that said, he's still batting just .219 (16-for-73) in April with four homers and 13 RBI.

France went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.

Although France boasts a quality .266 batting average through 22 games, he's been a non-factor in the power department, waiting until his 84th plate appearance to notch his first home run of the campaign. The long ball came in the first inning off Andrew Heaney and plated Julio Rodriguez. France's ISO has dropped from .116 last season to .088 while his strikeout rate sits at 21.8 percent after posting a K-rate lower than 18 percent in three straight seasons.

Santana went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, his first of the season, in Thursday's 6-3 victory over the White Sox.

After a dreadful start to the campaign (.347 OPS and one extra base hit in his first 16 games), Santana is finally showing some signs of life at the plate. He's 4-for-18 with a double and home run in his last five games, which is good for a .778 OPS.

Tellez went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored Thursday against the Brewers.

Tellez hasn't gotten on track at the plate this season and now has only two hits across his last 28 at-bats. He's struck out seven times in that span, and he has only two barrels on 51 batted ball events for the season. The Pirates could ultimately opt to play Connor Joe at first base more regularly if Tellez's struggles continue, and the eventual return of Yasmani Grandal (foot) could also mean that Tellez will lose some plate appearances.

Naylor went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Red Sox.

Naylor has gone hitless in his last two games -- it's just the second time this season he's been held without a hit in consecutive contests. He was able to pick up his first steal in three attempts this year with his lone trip on base Thursday. Despite the brief slump, he's still slashing .295/.366/.557 with six home runs, 20 RBI, 13 runs scored and five doubles over 101 plate appearances in a starting role at first base.

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 loss Seattle.

Lowe reached down for a slider low in the zone to blast his first home run of the season. The first baseman has played in all five games since being activated off the injured list last Saturday.

Harper went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Thursday's 5-0 win over Cincinnati.

After missing Philadelphia's last three games while on the paternity list, Harper returned with a bang Thursday, launching a two-run homer off Nick Martinez to extend the Phillies lead to 4-0 in the third inning. After a slow start to the year, Harper's starting to turn it around at the plate -- he's hit safely in his last seven games, going 10-for-24 with two home runs and nine RBI in that span. He's boosted his slash line to .256/.347/.488 with five homers and 16 RBI across 22 games this season.

Noda isn't in the Athletics' lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Left-hander Nestor Cortes will start on the mound for New York, forcing the lefty-hitting Noda to start Thursday's contest in the dugout. While he sits, Abraham Toro will start at first base with Max Schuemann and Darell Hernaiz covering second and third.

The Astros will add Cabbage to their roster for their upcoming series against the Rockies in Mexico City, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

The Astros are permitted to add an additional position player to their roster for their two-game series in Mexico City, so they'll bring up Cabbage to provide additional depth at first base and in the outfield. The 26-year-old has spent all season at Triple-A Sugar Land, where he's slashed .271/.440/.486 with three homers and nine RBI.

Abreu is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs.

Abreu is on the bench for the third time in four games, with Jon Singleton getting the nod at first base in his place. It's clear at this point that Abreu's standing atop the depth chart is on thin ice, as the 37-year-old has followed up a disappointing 2023 campaign with an even more disastrous start to the 2024 season, as he's slashing .065/.132/.081 with a career-worst 25 percent strikeout rate across 68 plate appearances. First base/outfield prospect Joey Loperfido has gotten off to a hot start to the season at Triple-A Sugar Land and could soon be summoned to the big leagues if the Astros aren't confident in Abreu's ability to stage a turnaround and/or if Singleton proves to be a poor replacement for Abreu.
