Freeman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double during Thursday's win over the Blue Jays.

Freeman cracked open the scoring in the first inning with a two-run blast off Nate Pearson, then added a leadoff double to start the sixth. After suffering from a tough bout of COVID-19 and missing most of summer camp, the 30-year-old is hitting just .217 this year. Hopefully Thursday's performance is a sign that he is finding his groove. He now has a pair of home runs and three doubles on the season.

Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Thursday against the Rangers.

Olson took Mike Minor deep in the second inning to collect his fourth home run of the season. After failing to homer in 10 consecutive starts, Olson now has gone yard in back-to-back games. Despite collecting only eight hits in 55 plate appearances to begin the season, Olson has drawn 13 walks and has an on-base percentage of .382.

White went 1-for-4 with an RBI ground-rule double in a win over the Angels on Wednesday, striking out in his other three plate appearances. He's now 1-for-18 with 10 strikeouts across five August games.

White's seventh-inning two-bagger Wednesday broke the 0-for-17 slump he'd opened the month with, a skid that's helped lead to a .125/.208/.229 season line. The rookie has only three extra-base hits (two doubles, one home run) on the campaign, and his mammoth 43.4 percent strikeout rate is naturally a major culprit in his struggles. With the Mariners' in a rebuilding mode, manager Scott Servais is still likely to give White a chance to continue working his way through his slump, especially considering the upside the 24-year-old demonstrated throughout his minor-league career, as well as the fact he's still adjusting to big-league arms after only having logged 18 plate appearances at the Triple-A level.

Smith went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.

Getting a start for the fourth time in the last five games, the 25-year-old delivered his first two-bagger of the season and upped his RBI total to seven in eight games. Now that Yoenis Cespedes is out of the picture, Smith may be the preferred option in left field for manager Luis Rojas once the rest of the roster is healthy again, with J.D. Davis slotting in at designated hitter. For Wednesday's contest, however, Davis was needed at third base in place of Jeff McNeil (back), putting Billy Hamilton in the outfield and Smith at DH.

Gurriel went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 14-7 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Gurriel went yard in the eighth inning off Diamondbacks reliever Hector Rondon, but it was too little and too late to help the Astros turn things around. Gurriel has hit safely in six straight games, going 9-for-26 with two RBI and five runs scored in that span. The 36-year-old is hitting .286 with two homers, four RBI and eight runs scored across 51 plate appearances.

Calhoun went 2-for-5 with an inside-the-park home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 14-7 win over the Astros.

Calhoun's contributions to the offense came in the fourth inning. He began with a two-run, inside-the-park homer down the right field line that also scored Ketel Marte. Calhoun would knock in Marte again with a single in his second at-bat of the inning before coming around to score on Christian Walker's RBI single to cap the nine-run rally. The multi-hit effort lifted Calhoun's line to .216/.341/.432 with two homers, five RBI and five runs scored in 11 games.

Olson went 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI and a walk in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.

Olson put the Athletics ahead with a two-run blast in the bottom of the first inning. That lead didn't hold, but he would later provide insurance with a solo shot off Rangers reliever Luke Farrell in the eighth. Olson now has three homers, nine RBI and six runs scored in 12 games this season despite a .179/.373/.410 triple-slash line.

Voit went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the second game of the Yankees' doubleheader against the Phillies on Wednesday.

Voit sat out the early game of the doubleheader but performed well when he returned to the lineup. He provided the Yankees with an early 1-0 lead, taking Aaron Nola deep in the second frame to record his fourth home run of the campaign. While he's provided plenty of power early on, Voit has also struck out 39 percent of the time in 31 plate appearances this season.

Bell went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double Wednesday against the Twins.

Bell was one of the few Pirates' hitters able to solve Randy Dobnak, as he smacked a double deep to left field in fourth inning. However, the highlight of his performance came in the final frame, when he caught up to a fastball up in the zone and drove it out of the park to straightaway center field for his second home run of the campaign. Bell has reached base just 11 times in 47 plate appearances to begin the season, though Wednesday's performance showcases the power he is capable of providing.

Tellez is not in the lineup Wednesday against Atlanta.

Tellez will stick on the bench for a second straight day with the Blue Jays facing another lefty in Sean Newcomb. In his place, Randal Grichuk is serving as DH while Anthony Alford gets the start in center field.
