  • Alec Bohm 3B | PHI

Phillies' Alec Bohm: Out of Sunday's lineup

Bohm is not in the lineup Sunday against the Braves.

Bohm started the past five games and will take a seat Sunday after recording two hits in his past 17 at-bats. Jean Segura shifts to third base with Scott Kingery starting at second in the series finale.

  • Giants' Wilmer Flores: Not starting Sunday

Flores is out of the lineup Sunday at Arizona, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Flores started the last 10 games and had a .925 OPS with four homers, two doubles and 12 RBI during that stretch, but he'll take a seat for Sunday's contest. Pablo Sandoval will bat sixth as the designated hitter in the series finale.

  • Josh Bell DH | MIN

Pirates' Josh Bell: Goes deep in loss

Bell went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and a walk in a loss to the Brewers on Saturday.

Bell drove home Pittsburgh's first run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning and drilled a 413-foot solo shot in the fifth. The long ball ended a power drought for the first baseman as he had last homered Aug. 5 versus Minnesota. Bell has put together a modest three-game hitting streak, during which he has gone 5-for-9 with only one strikeout.

  • Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE

Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Crushes fourth homer

Hoskins went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and a double during Saturday's 4-1 win over the Braves.

Hoskins' 421-foot, three-run blast to center field during the fifth inning gave the Phillies a 4-0 lead, and it proved to be the difference with the Braves tallying their lone run in the following frame. The 27-year-old has a .239/.417/.435 slash line with four homers, six doubles, 22 runs and 13 RBI in 27 games.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Goes yard twice in matinee

Rizzo went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Reds.

Yu Darvish was busy shutting down the Cincy offense in an eventual 3-0 win, so Rizzo's blasts were all the offense the Cubs would need. Although a 5-for-39 (.147) skid over his prior nine games sabotaged his overall slash line, the veteran first baseman headed into the nightcap Saturday with eight homers and 15 RBI through 32 games.

  • Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Smacks fourth homer

Walker went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Giants.

Walker went deep in the fourth inning to get the Diamondbacks on the board, but that was the extent of their offense. The first baseman is slashing .309/.360/.512 with four homers, 21 RBI and 19 runs scored through 33 games this season.

  • Giants' Wilmer Flores: Adds insurance with homer

Flores went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Flores went deep off reliever Kevin Ginkel in the ninth inning to give the Giants extra insurance. The defensively versatile Flores is slashing .280/.312/.517 with eight homers, 21 RBI and 18 runs scored through 31 games this season. He's carved out an everyday role by being able to play first, second and third base as necessary.

  • Joey Votto 1B | TOR

Reds' Joey Votto: Sent packing in Game 2

Votto was ejected during Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cubs, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The benches cleared during the fourth inning after the two sides traded apparent purpose pitches, with Votto, Jesse Winker and manager David Bell all getting tossed for the Reds. Votto entered the day hitless in his past 18 at-bats, but he broke out and went 3-for-6 with a solo homer and a double during the twin bill before getting ejected.

  • Donovan Solano 1B | TEX

Giants' Donovan Solano: Not in Saturday's lineup

Solano isn't in Saturday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

Solano has gone 1-for-7 with two strikeouts over the past two games, and he'll take a seat Saturday. Wilmer Flores will start at second base.

  • Joey Votto 1B | TOR

Reds' Joey Votto: Leading off Game 1

Votto is starting the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

Votto missed the Reds' last three games in the midst of an 0-for-18 slump, but he'll lead off for the team in Saturday's matinee. Whether he'll be in the lineup for Game 2 remains to be seen.
