Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Goldschmidt's first-inning solo shot secured the seventh 30-homer season of his career. The first baseman added an RBI single in the seventh and scored on a passed ball. With his second straight three-hit game, Goldschmidt is batting .407 (22-for-54) with 12 extra-base hits through 16 contests in August. For the season, he's up to a .339/.421/.635 slash line with 96 RBI, 84 runs scored and five stolen bases through 112 games.

Voit was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Padres due to back tightness, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Voit is still available off the bench Friday, so the back tightness doesn't appear to be a serious issue. He should be considered day-to-day. Joey Meneses will move to first base while Victor Robles enters the lineup in the outfield.

Cooper was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cooper last saw game action Tuesday against the Padres when he went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a hit by pitch, but it's unclear when exactly he suffered the concussion. The 31-year-old will be eligible to return from the IL next week, though he'll first have to fully clear the concussion protocols.

Bell is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Bell is 1-for-30 over the past seven games and will head to the bench Friday for the first time since being acquired by the Padres at the trade deadline. Wil Myers will enter the lineup at first base and bat sixth.

Solano was transferred from the paternity list to the restricted list Friday.

Solano was away from the team since Tuesday to be with his family, but he now appears to have tested positive for COVID-19. Mike Moustakas (calf) was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday and will replace him on the active roster.

Votto was placed on the 60-day injured list Friday after undergoing surgery to repair his torn left rotator cuff, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

This officially ends Votto's 16th season in the majors. It was his worst campaign to date by fWAR (-0.7) and wRC+ (93). Votto slashed .205/.319/.370 with 11 home runs, 31 runs and 41 RBI in 91 games and is under contract through the 2023 season.

Hall will sit Friday versus the Mets.

Hall will get a day off after he went 2-for-8 with a solo home run over the last two games of the series against the Reds. Kyle Schwarber (calf) will return to the lineup Friday at designated hitter and bat leadoff in the series opener.

Thursday's game was the third time in August that Goldschmidt has contributed multiple extra-base hits. The first baseman is batting .380 through 15 games this month, adding five home runs, six doubles, 16 RBI and 13 runs scored. He continues to be one of baseball's best hitters -- he's sporting a .335/.418/.627 slash line through 111 contests.

Flores is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Flores has an .837 OPS through 15 games in August and will take a seat for Thursday's series finale. J.D. Davis will bat sixth as the designated hitter.

Wade went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Over his last nine games, Wade has gone 7-for-22 (.318) with five homers and two doubles. That burst of power has lifted his season slash line to .202/.318/.477 with eight long balls, 22 RBI, 15 runs scored, four doubles and a triple through 130 plate appearances. With Luis Gonzalez optioned to Triple-A Sacramento, there's more playing time to be had in right field, and it appears Wade should be a fixture there versus right-handed pitchers. He could also see more chances against southpaws, but he only has a .174 OPS in 18 plate appearances against lefties this year.
