Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Launches grand slam
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a grand slam, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Reds.
Freeman crushed a changeup from Luke Weaver and sent it over the wall in center to cap off a five-run fourth inning for the Dodgers. It was his fifth game this season with at least three RBI and his second grand slam of the year. The 33-year-old is as consistent as they come with his approach at the plate and is now slashing .329/.402/.565 with 11 homers, 39 RBI, 51 runs, eight steals and a 29:44 BB:K over 281 plate appearances. Freeman appears to be on track to surpass his home run (21), RBI (100) and steal (13) totals from a season ago.

Pete Alonso 1B | BAL
Mets' Pete Alonso: Mashes 22nd homer
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to Atlanta.
The Mets did all their scoring in the third inning, and Alonso's blast off Bryce Elder gave them a 4-1 lead the pitching staff ultimately squandered. The first baseman leads the majors with 22 homers, three ahead of Aaron Judge (toe). However, Alonso sports just a .231 batting average on the season thanks to a career-worst .199 BABIP.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Perfect at plate Tuesday
Wade went 3-for-3 with a double, three walks, two RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Rockies.
It doesn't get much better than that for a leadoff hitter. Wade has done an excellent job of setting the table lately, going 19-for-52 (.365) with eight walks over his last 13 games. This was his sixth multi-hit effort in that span. The 29-year-old is up to a .285/.429/.480 slash line with eight home runs, 19 RBI, 31 runs scored, nine doubles and two stolen bases through 58 contests in what's been an excellent bounce-back campaign.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Dodgers' Kole Calhoun: Inks minors deal with LAD
Calhoun signed a minor-league contract Tuesday with the Dodgers.
Calhoun is in the lineup at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday night. He exercised the opt-out clause in his minor-league pact with the Yankees last week after failing to earn a call-up despite posting a .919 OPS in 23 games (105 plate appearances) at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Week away from activity
Rockies manager Bud Black said Tuesday that Cron (back) is at least a week away from beginning baseball activities, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Cron has been on the shelf since mid-May due to lingering discomfort in his lower back and there remains no timetable for his return to the active roster. Nolan Jones and Elehuris Montero are currently drawing the majority of starts at first base for Colorado, with a few Mike Moustakas sightings sprinkled into the mix.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Hopes to return when eligible
Bohm (hamstring) told reporters Monday that he believes he can return from the injured list when first eligible Saturday, MLB.com reports.
Bohm landed on the IL in late May with what was described as a mild left hamstring strain but seems to be experiencing improvement. It's not clear whether the 26-year-old might require a short rehab assignment before being activated. Bohm has put up a .724 OPS with six long balls in 53 games this season.

Kody Clemens 1B | MIN
Phillies' Kody Clemens: On bench Monday
Clemens is not in the starting lineup Monday versus Detroit, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Clemens will head to the bench after he went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a strikeout in Sunday's 11-3 win over Washington. Drew Ellis will take over at first base while Edmundo Sosa will enter the lineup at third base and bat eighth in the series opener with the Tigers.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Marlins' Yuli Gurriel: Emerging as primary first baseman
Gurriel will start at first base and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Royals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
After producing six hits in the Marlins' weekend series with the Athletics, Gurriel will be rewarded Monday with his 13th consecutive start. Though Garrett Cooper is in the lineup as Miami's designated hitter in place of a resting Jorge Soler, Gurriel appears to have overtaken the slumping Cooper as Miami's primary first baseman.
