Yankees' Luke Voit: Placed on injured list
Voit was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a Grade 2 oblique strain, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The news comes shortly after Voit was omitted from the lineup for Wednesday's since-postponed game against the Blue Jays. The Yankees will look to Mike Ford and DJ LeMahieu to fill in at first base while Voit recovers from the oblique strain.

Kirilloff will start at first base and bat cleanup Wednesday against the Orioles, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Even with Nelson Cruz (wrist) returning from a six-game absence, Kirilloff will retain a prominent spot in the lineup with Luis Arraez (shoulder) heading to the injured list and Josh Donaldson resting Wednesday. Kirilloff is being rewarded with the cleanup assignment after going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI in Tuesday's 7-4 win. The rookie is slashing .333/.364/.429 in his five games since returning from the IL last week.

Mountcastle (hand) isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Twins, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Mountcastle exited Tuesday's game against the Twins after he was hit on the hand by a pitch. He was diagnosed with a bruised left hand after X-rays came back negative, and he's still considered day-to-day. Mountcastle likely won't be available off the bench Wednesday, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports. Anthony Santander will serve as the designated hitter while DJ Stewart shifts to right field.

Santana went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Rays.
His fourth-inning shot off Rich Hill got the Royals on the board. Santana has gone yard in back-to-back games and four times in the last nine, giving him 10 homers and 32 RBI on the year to go along with a .256/.393/.474 slash line.

Abreu went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI on Tuesday against the Cardinals.
Abreu took Jack Flaherty yard for a two-run home run in the fourth inning -- his 10th of the season. He also added a run-scoring single two frames later to post his second multi-RBI effort in his last three games. Though he's predictably regressed from his stellar 2020 season, Abreu is still hitting .256/344/.494 with 24 runs scored and 39 RBI across 183 plate appearances on the campaign.

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Yankees.
Guerrero now has three home runs over his last two contests and continues to show why he's been one of the most productive hitters in all of baseball in 2021. The slugging first baseman now has 16 homers on the season and is also posting a 1.121 OPS.

Mountcastle was diagnosed with a bruised left hand Tuesday after X-rays came back negative, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
The 24-year-old was hit by a 93 mph pitch during Wednesday's game against the Twins, which eventually forced him to leave the contest. Mountcastle appears to have avoided a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day.
