Diaz (neck) is starting Thursday's game against Cleveland, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Diaz was out of the lineup for each of the last two games due to neck spasms, but he went 0-for-1 with a strikeout as a pinch hitter Wednesday. He'll start at first base and bat sixth in the series opener against Cleveland.
