Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Clutch single in win
Diaz went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Phillies on Wednesday.
Diaz's timely fourth-inning knock snapped a 1-1 tie at the time. The 30-year-old now sports a four-game hitting streak that's seen him go 6-for-14 with an RBI, two walks and three runs, and he should continue to log consistent action at first base while Ji-Man Choi (hamstring) remains sidelined.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Royals' Carlos Santana: Won't start Thursday
Santana (hip) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners.
Santana's Grade 1 right hip flexor strain will relegate him to the bench for the third game in a row. His absence indirectly opens up a spot in the lineup for Hanser Alberto, who will bat seventh as Kansas City's designated hitter.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Sitting against right-hander again
Dalbec is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
On the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Bailey Ober) for the second game in a row, Dalbec looks like a strict short-side platoon player at the stage. Kyle Schwarber could pick up his first start at first base as soon as Thursday, and if the Red Sox are comfortable deploying him there on a regular basis, Dalbec's opportunities may become even more scarce.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Powers ChiSox to victory
Abreu went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jays.
After Luis Robert and Yoan Moncada led off the top of the first inning with back-to-back singles, Abreu punished a Jose Berrios curveball, leaving the yard for the 26th time on the campaign. With the four-RBI performance, Abreu is up to 96 on the season, giving him sole possession of the MLB lead.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Royals' Carlos Santana: On bench again
Santana (hip) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.
He'll take a seat for the second straight game while he continues to manage a Grade 1 right hip flexor strain, an injury he sustained in Monday's series opener. Hunter Dozier will step in at first base for Santana.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Perfect night at dish
Lowe went 5-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and two runs scored Tuesday against Cleveland.
The performance marked the third time that Lowe has collected three or more hits in a game this season. The highlight came in the first inning, when he delivered his 13th home run of the campaign. Lowe had been on a tremendous power drought, as he had not homered in his last 40 games dating back to July 1. In that same span, he had collected only eight extra-base hits. For the season, Lowe is hitting .258/.351/.397 with 48 RBI and 52 runs scored across 496 plate appearances.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Goes yard twice
Mountcastle went 2-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs during Tuesday's loss to the Angels.
Mountcastle has hit safely in 14 of his last 15 games, cranking out seven long balls in that span while bringing his season homer total to 23. The 24-year-old now has an OPS of .803 and leads major-league rookies in slugging percentage (.495).
-
Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Takes seat Tuesday
Vaughn is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
Vaughn went 1-for-4 with an RBI on Monday and is now hitting .242 with two home runs and six RBI in his last 10 games. Most impressively, he's struck out just three times in 33 at-bats during that span. Jake Lamb is the designated hitter Tuesday.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Royals' Carlos Santana: Sidelined Tuesday with injury
Santana (hip) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
Santana exited Monday's series opener with a Grade 1 right hip flexor strain, so his absence from the lineup a day later comes as little surprise. For now, the Royals are labeling Santana as day-to-day, but he'll likely need to make some noteworthy progress in his recovery by the end of the week in order to avoid a trip to the injured list. Ryan O'Hearn will cover first base in Santana's stead Tuesday.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Athletics' Matt Olson: Swats homer, swipes bag
Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in a 5-3 loss to the Mariners on Monday.
Olson singled and stole second in the first inning and gave Oakland the temporary lead with a solo shot off Seattle starter Marco Gonzales in the sixth. The multi-hit effort snaps a 4-for-28 stretch for the first baseman over the past eight games and the theft was his first since June 27.
