Mountcastle went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Thursday against the Yankees.

Mountcastle took Jordan Montgomery yard in the sixth inning to record his 29th home run of the season. It was Mountcastle's fourth homer in his last eight games, and he's also chipped in six RBI and five runs scored. Though his batting average has predictably fallen after posting a .398 BABIP in 2020, Mountcastle has proven he has legitimate pop by posting an impressive .235 ISO and .87 OPS through 521 plate appearances on the campaign.

Olson went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run Wednesday in the Athletics' 12-10 win over the Royals.

Olson's 35th home run of the season was his third long ball in four games and helped him extend his RBI streak to five games. He'll look to tie his career-high total in home runs in Thursday's series finale. Olson is starting at first base and batting third.

Santana is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

It's been a disappointing season for the veteran first baseman, who's hit just .219/.322/.359 in 142 games. He's still playing regularly at this point, having started 15 straight games prior to Thursday's day off, but it's possible the Royals elect to turn to younger options more frequently down the stretch. Ryan O'Hearn will be the first baseman Thursday.

Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a walk, two doubles and two runs scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

Another day, another big performance from the 22-year-old. Guerrero is slashing .355/.412/.677 in September with six homers, seven RBI and 18 runs through 15 games as he tries to carry the Jays into the postseason while also pushing for a Triple Crown.

Voit went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a 7-2 win against Baltimore on Tuesday.

Voit joined the Yankees' power barrage against Orioles pitching, as his third-inning solo shot was one of five long balls hit by the team in the win. It was just the second home run this month for the first baseman, though that is partly due to dwindling playing time thanks to a mostly healthy offensive lineup. Still, it's worth noting that Voit blasted 22 homers in 213 at-bats during the shortened 2020 campaign but has just 10 in 201 at-bats this season.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will unsurprisingly take a seat with southpaw Sean Manaea on the hill for Oakland, but the former may have reclaimed a spot in Kansas City's regular lineup versus right-handed pitching. O'Hearn went 1-for-6 with a pair of walks while starting both of the Royals' past two games versus righties, while Edward Olivares was relegated to a bench role.

Lowe went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, two walks and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Astros.

Lowe got the scoring started for the Rangers by taking Zack Greinke deep in the first inning for a two-run blast. The 25-year-old would also draw a pair of walks and scored an additional time. The long ball was Lowe's first in September and just his third since he hit two July 1. He's done well in his first year as a starter, slashing .262/.355/.409 with 40 extra-base hits, 67 RBI, 65 runs scored, seven steals and a 71:148 BB:K over 572 plate appearances.

Dalbec went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-4 triumph over Seattle.

Dalbec knotted the game at 2-2 with his sixth-inning shot off Seattle reliever Anthony Misiewicz, but he wasn't productive in his other at-bats and was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth. The 26-year-old has flashed promising power in his second season with four home runs over his last six games and 22 on the season.

Vaughn was placed on the 10-day injured list with lower back inflammation Tuesday.

Vaughn hasn't played since Thursday while dealing with what was previously reported to be leg soreness. He's evidently also been dealing with a back issue. The transaction was backdated to Friday, so he'll be eligible to return Monday, which James Fegan of The Athletic reports the White Sox believe is possible.

Guerrero went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-1 win over the Rays.

He took over the major-league home run lead with an absolute missile, hooking an Adam Conley pitch just over the wall in the left-field corner on a line drive that left the yard in an incredible 3.3 seconds. Guerrero not only has 45 homers, one ahead of Shohei Ohtani, he also leads the American League in batting average at .318 -- leaving him just four RBI behind Jose Abreu for a potential Triple Crown. As an added bonus, he also leads all of MLB with 114 runs.
