Tampa Bay optioned Aranda to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

The 24-year-old's first stint in the big leagues lasted only five days, and Aranda appeared in two games over that stretch, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Though Aranda doesn't have much left to prove in the minors, the Rays want him to play on an everyday basis, and that opportunity won't be afforded to him in Tampa Bay after shortstop Wander Franco (quadriceps) was cleared to return from the 10-day injured list Sunday.

Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Franmil Reyes' recent return from the injured list looks like it has forced Naylor into a strict strong-side platoon role after he had previously seen regular starts against both right- and left-handed pitching. With southpaw Rich Hill on the bump for the Red Sox on Sunday, the lefty-hitting Naylor will cede first base to the righty-hitting Owen Miller.

Lowe went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a 3-2 win over the Nationals on Saturday.

The Rangers' first baseman took Josiah Gray deep to center in the bottom of the second to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead. He now has 10 home runs and 30 RBI on the season and is slashing a respectable .276/.323/.444 on the year. Lowe has hit two home runs over the past week and is on pace to break his career-best total of 18 in 2021.

Santana went 1-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Saturday's loss against the Athletics.

Santana scored on a Cam Gallagher double in the fourth inning and a Michael Taylor homer in the eighth. The first baseman has had a rough season, starting June with a .161 batting average, but has since raised it to .207. He has 18 hits in 15 games this month, giving him a .340/.462/.528 slash line during that span. Santana will need to continue to produce to keep seeing consistent playing time, especially with several talented prospects in the Royals' farm system.

Clemens went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Clemens put the Tigers ahead for good with his sixth-inning blast off Arizona reliever Joe Mantiply. This was Clemens' first major-league homer in 16 contests. The 26-year-old has hit .139 with five RBI and four runs scored while posting a 3:10 BB:K in 40 plate appearances. He hasn't hit enough to command regular playing time, instead serving as a depth option around the infield since the Tigers' outfield is in better health than it was when he was first summoned to the majors May 30.

Torkelson isn't starting Saturday against Arizona.

Torkelson went 1-for-11 with a walk and a strikeout over the last three games and will get a breather Saturday. Harold Castro is starting at first base and batting fifth.

Ellis was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Ellis was claimed off waivers by the Mariners last week and went 3-for-15 with a homer, five RBI, two runs, two walks and six strikeouts over four games in Tacoma. However, he'll provide infield depth for the major-league club after Ty France (elbow) was placed on the 10-day injured list.

Arias (hand) was reinstated from the 7-day minor-league injured list Saturday.

Arias underwent surgery in early May to address his fractured hand, but he recently completed a rehab assignment with the Guardians' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate, where he went 3-for-13 with a double, two runs, a stolen base, three walks and seven strikeouts over five games. The 22-year-old is slashing .197/.269/.380 with three homers, 11 RBI, nine runs and three stolen bases at Triple-A Columbus this year.

Naylor isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Red Sox.

Naylor went 6-for-17 with a home run, two doubles, three runs and three RBI over his last four games, and he'll take a seat for the second time in the last three games. Owen Miller is starting at first base and batting sixth.

Gurriel is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Gurriel started the past 19 games and will head to the bench Saturday while mired in a 2-for-22 slump over his last six, with both of those hits coming in the past two contests. J.J. Matijevic will take over at first base for Houston.
