  • Raiders' Dont'e Thornton: Practice window opened

The Raiders designated Thornton (undisclosed) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Sam Warren of The Athletic reports.

Thornton was injured over the summer and missed the first four games of the 2026 regular season. It's unclear what kind of role he'll have under the new coaching staff in Las Vegas. The Raiders have been relying on Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor (concussion) and Cody White at wideout of late while funneling their passing game through Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer.

  • Keenan Allen WR | IND

Colts' Keenan Allen: Returns to practice Wednesday

Allen (groin) is practicing Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

After missing last Sunday's game against Washington, Allen's return to practice puts him on track to play Week 5 against the Steelers. With Alec Pierce (heel) still on injured reserve, the Colts need all the help they can get at the position after Laquon Treadwell and Ashton Dulin were forced into heavy snaps alongside Josh Downs against the Commanders.

  • Tank Dell WR | HOU

Texans' Tank Dell: Designated to return from IR

The Texans designated Dell (knee) to return from injured reserve Wednesday.

The move opens Dell's 21-day practice window, so he should be back on the field sometime in the next three weeks. Houston's offense is devoid of speed and playmaking ability outside of Nico Collins, but it's also unclear if Dell is going to be the same player he was before suffering his gruesome knee injury late in the 2024 season. He's a total unknown at this point and will compete for snaps and targets with the likes of Kayshon Boutte, Jaylin Noel and Xavier Hutchinson once he returns to action.

  • Tim Patrick WR | NYJ

Jets' Tim Patrick: Has practice window opened

The Jets designated Patrick (groin) to return from injured reserve Wednesday.

The move opens the veteran wide receiver's 21-day practice window, and it comes at a good time for the Jets, with Adonai Mitchell (finger) still week-to-week. Patrick is unlikely to have much fantasy appeal in a New York offense that will struggle to support any pass catchers behind Garrett Wilson and possibly rookie Kenyon Sadiq.

  • A.J. Brown WR | NE

Patriots' A.J. Brown: Walking without limp

Brown (ankle) was seen in the locker room Wednesday without a noticeable limp, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

When Brown came out of Week 1 with a right high-ankle sprain, he was expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks, but his placement on IR before Week 2 action means he's eligible to return to practice as soon as next week. That doesn't mean he actually will be, but being able to move about sans limp generally is a good sign in his recovery and could mean practice reps are on the horizon for the Patriots' No. 1 wide receiver.

  • Jalen Nailor WR | LV

Raiders' Jalen Nailor: Will not practice Wednesday

Nailor (concussion) will not practice Wednesday, Sam Warren of The Athletic reports.

Nailor was concussed in last Sunday's loss to the Chiefs and remains in the league's protocol. If he's unable to gain clearance for Week 5 against the Patriots, Tre Tucker, Cody White and Dareke Young would be in line for increased snaps. Dont'e Thornton (undisclosed) could also be an option after he had his 21-day practice window opened Wednesday.

  • Mack Hollins WR | NE

Patriots' Mack Hollins: Not expected to practice Wednesday

Hollins (calf) isn't expected to practice Wednesday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Hollins was injured in last Sunday's win over the Bills and remains in question for Week 5 against the Raiders, one of Hollins' other former teams. If he can't play, the Patriots will lean on Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams and Efton Chism to handle most of the snaps at wide receiver.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Expected back after minimum IR stint

Ferguson (ankle) is expected to be ready to return after his four-game stint on injured reserve, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

Ferguson was placed on injured reserve ahead of Week 4 and will be eligible to return in Week 8 against the Chargers. In the meantime, the Rams will continue to lean on Tyler Higbee as the main pass-catching tight end, with Colby Parkinson (shoulder) and Davis Allen chipping in as block-first assets.

  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Remains in concussion protocol

Chase remains in the league's concussion protocol Wednesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Chase suffered a concussion early in last Sunday's loss to the Jaguars and will be up against it to be cleared in time for Week 5 against the Dolphins. The Bengals then have a Week 6 bye, so it's possible Chase won't play again for another couple weeks. Dohnte Meyers and Mike Gesicki would be in line for increased target shares if Chase is unable to play versus Miami. It's also notable that Tee Higgins (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

  • Mason Taylor TE | NYJ

Jets' Mason Taylor: Back at practice Wednesday

Taylor (thumb) will practice Wednesday, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.

Taylor has missed the past two games with his thumb issue but appears to be tracking toward a Week 5 return against the Browns. He's way off the fantasy radar, and Taylor's return likely wouldn't have much of an effect on rookie Kenyon Sadiq's pass-catching role, as Taylor is more of the in-line blocker at the position for New York.
