Colts' Keenan Allen: Paces Indy in receiving Sunday
Allen caught eight of 11 targets for 82 yards in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Titans.
With tight end Tyler Warren (groin) inactive, Allen became the preferred option for Daniel Jones when he needed to move the chains, and the veteran wideout led the Colts in catches, targets and receiving yards while setting personal season highs in all three categories. Mo Alie-Cox was on the other end of Jones' only TD pass, however. Allen will take a 26-227-1 line on 40 targets into a Week 7 clash with the Vikings.

Colts' Keenan Allen: Rests up during Wednesday's practice
Allen was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice due to rest.
Allen previously missed the Colts' Week 4 win over the Commanders due to a groin issue and was listed with the same injury on the team's Week 5 report, but his absence from practice to begin Week 6 looks to be a planned off day. In his return from a one-game absence during this past Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Steelers, Allen logged just 32 of the Colts' 71 offensive snaps, but he could see an uptick in playing time this weekend against the Titans now that he's further removed from the groin injury.

Colts' Keenan Allen: Not practicing Wednesday
Allen (groin) isn't practicing Wednesday, Nathan Brown of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Allen sat out the Colts' Week 4 win over the Commanders due to a groin issue, but he was cleared to play in this past Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Steelers after practicing in a limited fashion Wednesday and Thursday before practicing fully Friday. Though he's off the field to begin Week 6 prep, Allen isn't necessarily dealing with a setback coming out of the loss to Pittsburgh and may just be getting a maintenance day. Allen played less than half of the Colts' offensive snaps in his return to action in Week 5, but so long as he resumes practicing by the end of the week, he'll likely be ready to handle a larger workload Sunday versus the Titans.

Colts' Keenan Allen: Hauls in five passes in return
Allen caught five of nine targets for 45 yards in Sunday's Week 5 loss to Pittsburgh.
Allen missed Week 4 due to a groin injury but was able to return to action Sunday. His nine targets tied for the top mark on the Colts, and his five receptions were second behind tight end Tyler Warren. Allen has been relatively consistent this season with at least five catches in three of his four contests, but he's averaging a meager 8.1 yards per reception, which is on pace for a career low.

Allen (groin) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against Washington.
After entering the weekend with a questionable tag following a non-participant listing Friday, Allen will now miss Sunday's contest in London. Without Allen or Alec Pierce (heel), Josh Downs will be the Colts' top receiver for Week 4, with Darius Slayton, Laquon Treadwell, Ashton Dulin, Deion Burks and tight end Tyler Warren all in line for more targets. Allen's next chance to take the field is Week 5 against the Steelers on Sunday, Oct. 11.

After logging a limited practice Thursday, Allen moved the wrong direction Friday with a DNP tag and now carries a questionable designation into Sunday's contest in London. That leaves the Colts' veteran wide receiver with some added uncertainty for Week 4 availability. If Allen is unable to go, the Colts will dip even deeper into their wideout depth with Alec Pierce (heel) already on the shelf for multiple weeks. Josh Downs and Tyler Warren would be in line to soak up most of the targets.

This was the second straight limited practice for the vet. The Colts added that rest was part of the equation for Allen as they get set for Sunday's game in London.
