Marcell Ateman WR | BUF
Marcell Ateman: Gets let go
Ateman was cut by the Bills on Tuesday, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
Ateman joined the Bills in June after spending the 2022 season on the sidelines. The Oklahoma State product had spent three years with the Raiders from 2018 through 2021, but he never played more than 11 games or secured more than 15 targets in a season.

Steven Sims WR | ARI
Steven Sims: Won't make team
Sims was cut by the Texans on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Sims spent the last two seasons with the Steelers operating as a return man and depth receiver, and he was working to earn a similar role in Houston. However, it appears the Texans will opt to go with Mike Boone and Tank Dell in the kick and punt return roles respectively.

Brian Cobbs WR | ARI
Brian Cobbs: Can't stick to final roster
The Cardinals are slated to waive Cobbs on Tuesday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Cobbs linked with Arizona as an undrafted free agent back in May, so the team could opt to continue his development via the practice squad. The 6-foot-2 wideout let Utah State in every major receiving category last season.

Andre Baccellia WR | ARI
Andre Baccellia: Let go by Arizona
The Cardinals cut Baccellia on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Baccellia flashed this preseason and boasts enough speed to potentially warrant a spot on Arizona's practice squad. In eight appearances with the team last season, he secured seven of 10 targets for 45 yards.

Josh Vann WR | CAR
Josh Vann: Won't make team
Vann was waived by the Panthers on Tuesday.
Vann joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina in the spring. Ultimately though, the 23-year-old was unable to show enough in camp to crack the team's 53-man roster.

Austin Watkins Jr. WR | PHI
Austin Watkins: Won't make team
Watkins was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Watkins recorded more receiving yards than any other player in the preseason, but it wasn't enough for the UAB product to earn a role on Cleveland's 53-man roster.
-
Shi Smith WR | KC
Shi Smith: Done in Carolina
The Panthers waived Smith on Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Smith played in all 17 games for Carolina last season, recording a 22-296-2 receiving line on 41 targets while also contributing in the return game. He seems a likely candidate to earn a spot on the team's practice squad if another club doesn't claim him off waivers.
-
Javon Wims WR | CAR
Javon Wims: Parts ways with Panthers
Carolina cut Wims on Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Wims inked with the Panthers in late July, but he couldn't earn a spot on the team's initial 53-man roster. The veteran wideout will look to latch on in a depth role elsewhere if he isn't brought back to Carolina's practice squad.
-
Taylor Grimes WR | DEN
Taylor Grimes: Waived during roster cuts
The Broncos waived Grimes on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Grimes inked with Denver as an undrafted free agent shortly after April's draft, so if the team wants to continue his development he could resurface on the practice squad. Otherwise, Grimes will need to begin looking for a similar opportunity elsewhere in the league.

Montrell Washington WR | NYG
Montrell Washington: Heading to waivers
The Broncos waived Washington on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Washington, a 2022 fifth-round pick, could realistically resurface on Denver's practice squad as long as he clears waivers. In 15 appearances as a rookie, he secured four of nine targets for two yards and logged five carries for 30 yards. With Tim Patrick (knee) out for the year and Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) in danger of missing serious time, emergency wide receiver depth will be significant for the Broncos.
