  • D.J. Montgomery: Gets let go

    Montgomery was waived by the Colts on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

    Montgomery split time between the Texans and Colts' practice squads last season, but he never made it to either team's active roster. The Austin Peay product is a practice squad candidate for Indianapolis, according to Pelissero.

  • Kalil Pimpleton: Cut from team

    Pimpleton was waived by the Giants on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

    Pimpleton spent last season on the team's practice squad then re-signed on a reserve/future deal in January. He'll likely be a candidate for the practice squad once again after being unable to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.

  • Jacob Harris WR | TB

    Jaguars' Jacob Harris: Kicked to curb

    Harris was waived by Jacksonville on Tuesday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

    The 2021 fourth-round selection out of UCF signed with the Jaguars on May 12 before getting waived Tuesday. Harris was drafted by the Rams and appeared in 16 games throughout his young career, mostly playing as a special teams ace. The 26-year-old wideout has caught only one pass for six yards and a touchdown during his two years in the league. Now, he'll be forced to look for a new home ahead of the coming season.

  • Josh Hammond WR | DEN

    Broncos' Josh Hammond: Gets cut loose

    Hammond was waived by the Broncos on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

    Hammond joined Denver on Aug. 21 after participating in the XFL season with the DC Defenders. He'll now need to pursue a new opportunity if he wants to be with an NFL franchise this season.

  • John Hightower WR | LAC

    John Hightower: Getting let go

    Hightower was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houstonreports.

    Hightower signed a reserve/future deal with the team in January after spending part of last season on their practice squad. He'll now have to pursue another opportunity.

  • Mike Strachan WR | WAS

    Mike Strachan: Being let go

    Strachan is being waived by the Colts on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Networkreports.

    Strachan has spent the last two seasons with the Colts after being selected in the seventh round of the 2021 Draft, but he's yet to push beyond limited contributions on the field. The Charleston product will now work to find a new opportunity.

  • Giants' Jamison Crowder: Expected to be gone

    The Giants are planning to release Crowder on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

    Crowder hasn't had much luck since departing the Jets, where he was a steady producer for several years. After a broken ankle limited him to just four games with the Bills in 2022, he has spent a portion of the 2023 training camp with the Giants limited by a calf injury. Assuming he does end up being released, the veteran wideout will likely work to pursue a new opportunity.

  • Panthers' Ihmir Smith-Marsette: Gets dealt

    Smith-Marsette was traded to the Panthers from the Chiefs on Tuesday, Dov Kleiman of BroBible.com reports.

    The teams will swap conditional seventh-round picks in the deal, while Smith-Marsette should provide some improved depth at receiver for Carolina. The Iowa product has appeared in 16 games over the last three NFL seasons, making six catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Kawaan Baker WR | GB

    Kawaan Baker: Won't make roster

    New Orleans is waiving Baker, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

    Baker finished last season on the Saints' practice squad and signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January. He caught four of seven targets for 47 yards during exhibition action but won't make the initial 53-man roster. Baker is a candidate to remain with the organization as part of the practice squad.

  • Tyjon Lindsey WR | SEA

    Tyjon Lindsey: Does not make cut

    Lindsey was waived by the Seahawks on Monday,.

    Lindsey joined Seattle as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State and was competing for a depth receiver role with the club. He ultimately came up short, but he'll be a candidate to land on the team's practice squad. He tallied 917 yards and nine touchdowns on 75 receptions over four collegiate seasons.
