  • Treylon Burks WR | WAS

Titans' Treylon Burks: Takes field with first unit

Burks hauled in his lone target for 12 yards in Saturday's 17-13 preseason win over the 49ers.

Burks continues to run with the first-unit offense alongside Calvin Ridley while DeAndre Hopkins (knee) remains questionable for the start of the regular season. The larger role would certainly boost Burks' fantasy stock, which took a hit following the signing of Ridley this past offseason. Even when the Titans' veteran wideouts are healthy, Burks figures to remain a part of the passing game in a slot role.

  • Gabe Davis WR | BUF

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Impressive gain on one catch

Davis secured one of two targets for 20 yards in the Jaguars' 26-13 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday night.

Davis recorded his one reception on the opening play of the Jaguars' second possession, and he saw a second target later in the drive that was confirmed incomplete on a replay challenge. Davis is slated to open the season as the Jaguars' No. 2 receiver, but he'll presumably have to hold off what could be a progressively aggressive challenge from rookie first-round pick Brian Thomas, who impressed with a 41-yard catch of his own Saturday.

  • Jaguars' Christian Kirk: No targets in preseason opener

Kirk did not log any targets during the Jaguars' 26-13 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday night.

The Jaguars' starting offense was out there for the first two possessions, but Kirk wasn't on the receiving end of any of Trevor Lawrence's four pass attempts. Despite the quiet night in the opener, Kirk's chemistry with Lawrence is above question as they head into their third season together, and the veteran wideout is the clear No. 1 receiver in Jacksonville's air attack following the departure of Calvin Ridley this offseason.

  • Vikings' Trishton Jackson: Has 100 yards receiving Saturday

Jackson had four receptions for 100 yards on five targets, including a 45-yard touchdown, in Saturday's preseason win over Las Vegas.

Jackson has mostly been on Minnesota's practice squad the past two seasons, so a strong preseason game or two could help him win a final roster spot.

  • Tee Higgins WR | CIN

Bengals' Tee Higgins: Finds end zone in preseason opener

Higgins brought in two of three targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 17-14 preseason loss to the Buccaneers on Saturday night.

Higgins received plenty of Joe Burrow's attention on the opening possession due to Ja'Marr Chase (contract) not playing, recording a nine-yard grab before capping off the drive with a 10-yard touchdown reception. Higgins was also the target on two deep incompletions, drawing a 17-yard pass-interference call on the second one to place the ball at the Buccaneers' nine-yard line. The fifth-year wideout, who's set to play 2024 on the franchise tag, looks to already be in regular-season form heading into the Bengals' second exhibition matchup against the Bears next Saturday afternoon.

  • Jalen Nailor WR | LV

Vikings' Jalen Nailor: Strong showing in first preseason game

Nailor had three receptions for 63 yards on four targets in Saturday's preseason win over Las Vegas.

Nailor started at wide receiver due to Justin Jefferson sitting out the game. The former has drawn raves in camp for his play and backed it up with a strong performance. His only blemish was being unable to bring in a catchable ball in the end zone in traffic on fourth-and-goal. Brandon Powell didn't have a target or reception in the game. Nailor looks like he has a large lead for the No. 3 receiver role, which could have significant fantasy value due to tight end T.J. Hockenson set to miss several games coming back from January surgery for a torn ACL and Jordan Addison facing a potential suspension for a DUI charge.

  • Calvin Ridley WR | TEN

Titans' Calvin Ridley: Makes splash play in TEN debut

Ridley had one reception off of two targets for 22 yards in Saturday's 17-13 preseason win over the 49ers.

Ridley was able to rip off a big gain with his new club when he took a short pass and made a couple of defenders miss in the open field. The 30-year-old wound up seeing two of starting quarterback Will Levis' five targets in the exhibition win. The Titans were without the services of DeAndre Hopkins (knee) on Saturday, and Hopkins is expected to miss at least a few more weeks with a knee injury. Ridley handled the No. 1 wideout role in the veteran's stead, but he figures to start alongside Nuk once the latter is cleared to return.

  • Marquise Brown WR | PHI

Chiefs' Marquise Brown: May miss some time

Head coach Andy Reid said Brown suffered the same injury to his left shoulder in Saturday's preseason game versus Jacksonville that former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill sustained during the 2019 season, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

In the case of Hill, he missed Weeks 2 through 5 in 2019 due to a sternoclavicular dislocation that required a reduction under anesthesia, per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com. If Brown follows a similar path as Hill, his recovery timeline could threaten his odds to play Week 1. With Rashee Rice's availability up in the air due to legal woes as well, the Chiefs may enter the upcoming campaign with a receiving corps composed of Xavier Worthy, Justin Watson, Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney (back).

  • DJ Chark WR | ATL

Chargers' DJ Chark: Struggles in preseason loss

Chark did not catch any of his three targets in Saturday's 16-3 preseason loss to the Seahawks.

The Chargers' offense was painfully bad in the first half as they put together just one drive with more than five plays. With the majority of the expected starters all held out for precautionary reasons, the veteran Chark was featured heavily in the first couple of possessions, but quarterback Easton Stick's inaccuracies proved too difficult to overcome for Chark. Expect the 27-year-old to receive extensive work throughout the preseason as the team sorts out the expected wide receiving corps behind obvious starters Joshua Palmer and Ladd McConkey.

  • Charlie Jones WR | CIN

Bengals' Charlie Jones: Dealing with knee injury

Head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Saturday that Jones is week-to-week due to a knee injury he sustained during practice Thursday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Jones was carted off the practice field Thursday after banging knees with a defender during drills. He was unable to put weight on his leg following the incident, but it appears he has avoided serious injury for the time being. The 2023 fourth-round pick missed Saturday's 17-14 preseason loss to the Bucs, and he'll look to be available for the Bengals' second preseason contest against the Bears on Aug. 17.
