Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Slayton (concussion) won't participate in practice Wednesday, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.

Slayton remains in the NFL's concussion protocol and will likely need to get back on the practice field in some capacity in addition to gaining clearance from an independent neurologist to have a chance at playing Sunday against the Commanders. Jalin Hyatt will have a path to increased offensive snaps alongside starting wideout Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson if Slayton misses any time.

Downs (ankle) is slated to be a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Downs is working his way back from a high-ankle sprain that he sustained Aug. 7 and continues to make progress, with his looming practice participation representing a key step toward potentially returning to action this weekend versus the Packers. In the Colts' Week 1 loss to the Texans, Alec Pierce and Adonai Mitchell saw added snaps behind top option Michael Pittman.

Powell was not targeted during Minnesota's 28-6 win over the Giants in Week 1.

Powell did return one punt for one yard, but that was the extent of his involvement on the stat sheet in a dominant showing by the Vikings. The Jets downed two punts and sent another three out of bounds, so Powell's involvement as Minnesota's primary punt returner could grow Week 2 against the 49ers on Sunday. He'll also figure to step into a larger offensive role behind Justin Jefferson should Jordan Addison (ankle) be limited at all due to injury.

Davis rushed the ball twice for nine yards in Sunday's 22-10 win over the Raiders.

Davis failed to record a single target in the contest and played just seven of the Chargers' 57 offensive snaps. Buried on the wide receiver depth chart, Davis will likely struggle to see ample opportunities on a consistent basis. Nonetheless, Davis will have another opportunity to step forward in the offense when the Chargers visit the Panthers in Week 2.

Gipson wasn't targeted in Monday's 32-19 loss to the 49ers, but he had three kickoff returns for 77 yards and a four-yard punt return.

Gipson was the intended receiver of a Tyrod Taylor pass on a two-point conversion in the final minute, but that play doesn't go down in the books as an official target. The slot receiver actually played 30 snaps on offense compared to just nine for Mike Williams and one for Malachi Corley. Once Williams is up to speed, he'll likely join Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard in three-receiver sets, but Gipson's usage suggests the second-year pro is capable of providing some value on offense early in the season, despite Monday's ineffectual season debut.

Jones caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Patriots.

Jones was minimally involved in the Bengals struggling offense Sunday, playing just eight of Cincinnati's 51 offensive snaps. Buried on the Bengals' receiver depth chart, the second-year wideout should remain far off the fantasy radar when the Bengals visit the Chiefs in Week 2, especially if teammate Tee Higgins (hamstring) returns to the lineup.

Irwin caught one of his two targets for six yards in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Patriots.

With teammate Tee Higgins (hamstring) out for the contest, Irwin was on the field for 65 percent of the Bengals' offensive snaps. The wideout's elevated usage, however, did not translate to much production. His two targets were behind both Ja'Marr Chase and Andrei Iosivas who both saw six targets. Going forward, Irwin will continue to be difficult to trust for fantasy purposes, assuming Higgins can return quickly from his hamstring issue. The Bengals square off against the Chiefs in Week 2.

Valdes-Scantling reeled in one of his two targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 34-28 win over the Cardinals.

Valdes-Scantling played just 13 of the Bills' 62 offensive snaps Sunday, the fewest of any Buffalo wideout. Buried on the depth chart behind Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Mack Hollins and Curtis Samuel, the 29-year-old likely will struggle to see enough consistent playing time to sustain fantasy relevance. Nonetheless, Valdes-Scantling will have his next opportunity to produce in what projects to be a shootout between Buffalo and Miami in Week 2.

Hollins caught both of his targets 25 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-28 win over the Cardinals.

Hollins' touchdown was an 11-yard catch from quarterback Josh Allen to help tie the game at 17 early in the third quarter. The veteran wideout played the second-most offensive snaps (36) behind just Keon Coleman (45) and ahead of Khalil Shakir (33), Curtis Samuel (17) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (13). After one game, it appears that Hollins could step into a more prominent role in Buffalo's new-look passing attack, however, he could see inconsistent usage with so many mouths to feed in the offense. The 30-year-old's two targets trailed both Coleman and Shakir, who saw five and three targets, respectively. Hollins' will hope to stay involved in Week 2 when the Bills visit the Dolphins in a Week 2 divisional showdown.

Samuel reeled in both of his targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 34-28 win over the Cardinals.

Samuel operated as the Bills' fourth wide receiver Sunday, playing just 17 of Buffalo's 62 offensive snaps behind Keon Coleman (45), Mack Hollins (36) and Khalil Shakir (33). The first look at the receiving corps in Buffalo provided some clarity as to how Samuel could be deployed in the offense, as the 28-year-old was minimally involved despite the Bills finding themselves in a pass-heavy game script for much of the contest. Samuel will look to get more involved in Week 2 when the Bills visit the Dolphins.
