  • Brandon Bolden hurts knee

Patriots running back Brandon Bolden left the game against the Falcons with a knee injury and is questionable to return. Bolden, who got hurt on a blitz pickup, was inactive the first two weeks of the season with a knee injury.

  • Injury cuts game short for Darren McFadden

Playing Darren McFadden always comes with an injury risk. And, sure enough, he was injured in a 24-14 loss Sunday to visiting Washington.

McFadden was off to a decent start for the Raiders when a hamstring injury ended his day in the second quarter. He had rushed for 29 yards on five carries. He bolted soon after the game and Dennis Allen had no word on the extent of the injury.

Explosive performances have been few and far between for McFadden throughout his career, even when healthy. It remains to be seen if he will be healthy enough to play in Week 5 against AFC West rival San Diego.

  • Ryan Mathews RB | PHI

Ryan Mathews racks 100 yards of total offense

Chargers running back Ryan Mathews enjoyed a solid performance as he totaled 100 yards of offense in Sunday's Week 4 contest at home against the Cowboys.

Mathews rushed for a team-high 62 yards on 19 carries, averaging 3.3 yards per attempt. He caught all four of his targeted passes for 41 yards in a 30-21 victory.

Mathews has not rushed more than 73 yards in a game. He has 64 carries for 226 yards through four games. He'll look for another productive game in Week 5 at Oakland.

  • Chris Johnson RB | ARI

Chris Johnson bottled up in Week 4

Titans running back Chris Johnson had an afternoon to forget as he failed to crack 25 yards rushing in Sunday's win over the Jets in Week 4.

Johnson, who took the backseat to Jackie Battle in goal line situations, finished with 15 carries for 21 yards, averaging 1.4 yards per game. He also caught two passes for 10 yards in a 38-13 victory.

"We know we're going to have to stay together and not change up anything we're doing up to this point," Johnson said after the game.

Johnson has 84 carries for 277 yards and no touchdowns through four games. He will look to bounce back in Week 5 against a stingy Kansas City defense.

  • Branden Bolden active for Patriots

Patriots running back Brandon Bolden, who was questionable with a knee injury, is active for Sunday night's game against the Falcons. Bolden accounted for 100 total yards in his season debut last week.

  • Chiefs get minor contributions from four players Week 4

Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster, tight end Kevin Brock, fullback Anthony Sherman and backup running back Knile Davis all made minor contributions on offense during a 31-7 win Week 4 vs. N.Y. Giants.

McCluster finished with five catches for 48 yards, Brock had two catches for 27 yards, Sherman had one catch for 6 yards and Davis had one carry for 2 yards.

  • Doug Martin RB | LV

Doug Martin has worst game of season

Buccaneers running back Doug Martin struggled in Week 4 against Arizona, and it was his worst game of the season.

Fantasy owners are starting to get a little frustrated with Martin. He's not living up to his draft status.

Martin had 27 carries for 45 yards, which was 1.7 yards per carry. He also had three catches for 16 yards.

Martin does have three games with double digits in Fantasy points on the season, but he has just one game with more than 100 rushing yards. He also has just one touchdown.

The Buccaneers have a bye in Week 5, and hopefully Martin will get going in Week 6. You're going to start him every week, and we hope he starts to post the monster stats like he had as a rookie in 2012.

  • Cordarrelle Patterson makes one catch Week 4

Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson hauled in one reception during the Week 4 game in London as Minnesota beat the Steelers Sunday. Patterson went for 9 yards and saw just two targets during the game from quarterback Matt Cassel.

The rookie Patterson, who also returns kicks for Minnesota, had five grabs for 73 yards on the season entering Sunday's game.

  • Darren McFadden done in game against Redskins

Raiders running back Darren McFadden is in street clothes watching his team open the third quarter against Washington. He is out with a hamstring injury.

  • Donald Brown RB | NE

Donald Brown an effective change-of-pace guy

Colts running back Donald Brown, getting an opportunity to play second fiddle to Trent Richardson with Ahmad Bradshaw sidelined by a neck injury, got only three carries Week 4 at Jacksonville but made the most of them, leading the team with 65 rushing yards. He also had two catches for 11 yards.

His biggest contribution was a 50-yard run in the second quarter that helped set up a 1-yard touchdown run for Richardson. Following a three-carry, 25-yard performance Week 3 at San Francisco, Brown is now averaging 9.2 yards per carry this season.

He'll look to contribute again as a change-of-pace option Week 5 against the Seahawks, though his role could be reduced if Bradshaw is healthy enough to play.
