Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano said Monday the team does not believe running back Doug Martin has suffered a season-ending injury, despite multiple reports stating Martin is out for the season with a torn labrum. Schiano did say, however, it will be a stretch for Martin to play Thursday (Week 8) against the Panthers.

Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said Monday the reason Daniel Thomas received more backfield reps than Lamar Miller Week 7 vs. Buffalo was a function of the play calling. Philbin said Miller is still considered the team's starting running back.

Thomas rushed for 60 yards on 12 carries Sunday, while Miller rushed for 43 yards on nine carries. Each player had one reception.

Mike James replaced Martin in Sunday's game at Atlanta, rushing for 45 yards on 14 carries and adding three catches for 8 yards.

Colts running back Trent Richardson hit a new low in the Week 7 win over Denver. He ran 14 times for 37 yards, a season-low 2.6 yards per carry, and lost his first fumble in the fourth quarter.

Richardson, who nearly fumbled in the first quarter, was not targeted in the passing game. He was so ineffective that he lost substantial snaps to Donald Brown. Brown finished with 14 touches, same as Richardson.

Richardson has not cleared 60 total yards in any of the past three games. On a bye in Week 8, Richardson visits the Texans in Week 9.

Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman fumbled for the second straight game in Week 7, but this time his team didn't recover. Hillman's fourth-quarter fumble at the goal line was a pivotal play in the Broncos' 39-33 loss at Indianapolis.

Purely a change-of-pace option behind Knowshon Moreno, Hillman carried four times for 25 yards and caught his only target for 1 yard. He'll play the Redskins in Week 8.
