Dameon Pierce RB | PHI
Texans' Dameon Pierce: Misses practice Wednesday
Pierce didn't practice Wednesday, Drew Dougherty of the Texans' official site reports.
The Texans will release their first Week 9 injury report later Wednesday, when a reason behind Pierce's absence will be known. At this stage of the week, head coach DeMeco Ryans was not yet willing to commit to the running back being available for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Devin Singletary and, to a lesser degree, Mike Boone, would be in line to see added backfield touches Week 9 if Pierce sits out or is available only in a limited capacity.

Jerick McKinnon RB | KC
Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Missing practice Wednesday
McKinnon (groin) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
McKinnon sat out practice last Thursday with the same injury before practicing fully Friday and playing 23 snaps on offense in the Chiefs' Week 8 loss to the Broncos. The Chiefs haven't disclosed whether McKinnon's absence Wednesday is the result of a setback or a matter of load management, but more information on the running back's status should arrive Thursday. If McKinnon is available Sunday against the Dolphins, he'll continue to work in a change-of-pace role behind Isiah Pacheco.

Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC
Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Minimal involvement in loss
Abdullah rushed once for seven yards and caught his only target for 12 yards in Monday's 26-14 loss to the Lions.
After failing to earn a single touch over the past two contests, Abdullah handled two touches during Monday's contest. Through eight weeks of season, the veteran running back has seen no more than two touches in a contest and has been held without a touch in three games. Barring an injury to starter Josh Jacobs, Abdullah should remain far off the fantasy radar going forward. Nonetheless, the 30-year-old will continue to operate as the Raiders' top backup option when the Raiders host the Giants in Week 9.

Isaiah Spiller RB | LV
Chargers' Isaiah Spiller: Four touches in win
Spiller rushed three times for three yards while securing his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Bears.
Spiller played just eight of the Chargers 69 offensive snaps Sunday, operating as the team's No. 3 running back behind Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley. With such limited usage, Spiller will remain far off the fantasy radar when the Chargers visit the Jets in Week 9.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Commanders' Antonio Gibson: Five grabs in loss
Gibson rushed twice for 14 yards and secured all five of his targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Eagles.
Gibson played 37 of the Commanders' 72 offensive snaps, logging two more snaps than fellow running back Brian Robinson. His five catches were his most in a game so far this season, as Gibson remains Washington's top pass-catching option out of the backfield. With that said, Gibson's lack of involvement in the rushing attack limits his chances of being a consistent fantasy contributor. The 25-year-old will look to make more of an impact on offense when the Commanders visit the Patriots in Week 9.

Hassan Hall RB | ARI
Hassan Hall: Headed to Arizona
The Cardinals signed Hall to their practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hall was let go from Cleveland's practice squad back in September but will now get another opportunity in Arizona. The rookie undrafted free agent will serve as a depth running back option, as the team currently only has two healthy backs on the active roster.

J.J. Taylor RB | HOU
J.J. Taylor: Headed to Houston
Taylor signed with the Texans' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Taylor will head to Houston after being released from the Patriots in August. The 25-year-old has 18 career rushes for 77 yards and touchdown, and will now provide the team insurance at running back.

Tyjae Spears RB | TEN
Titans' Tyjae Spears: Listed as full Tuesday
Spears (ankle) was listed as a full participant on the Titans' estimated injury report Tuesday, Ben Arthur of FoxSports.com reports.
Tennessee has held walkthroughs this week as it prepares for Thursday's contest at Pittsburgh, but Spears was able to follow up Monday's limited listing with all on-field work one day later. Meanwhile, Derrick Henry (ankle) remained limited Tuesday, potentially leaving the door open for Spears to handle more snaps Week 9 if the former is at all inhibited Thursday.
-
Damien Williams RB | ARI
Damien Williams: Goes on practice squad IR
The Cardinals placed Williams (foot) on the practice squad injured list Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Williams had three touches for nine yards in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Ravens before exiting the game in the second quarter after sustaining a foot injury. He will have to sit out for the next four games and will be eligible to return against the Rams on Nov. 26.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Limited again Tuesday
Henry (ankle) was listed as limited on Tuesday's estimated practice report, Ben Arthur of FoxSports.com reports.
For a second consecutive day, Henry was operating with a cap on his reps at Tuesday's walkthrough, giving him just one more chance to log every on-field rep before the Titans potentially hand him a designation for Thursday's game at Pittsburgh. With backup running back Tyjae Spears (ankle) getting a full listing on Tuesday's report after being limited Monday, he appears to be a bit more healthy than Henry as the team makes its way through Week 9 prep.
